Hi Mister Sergey.

Well, I must admit that this answer is better, and belive in me when I say that I really understand your point of view, sadly you do not know me, I am not lazy as you might think, I am a hard-working men that tryies to be up to date; I have also earned a lot of knowledge in my major, related to electricity and electronics, not for data recovery, this software is intended for educational purposes, I have performed a software that can actually have contact with sectors.

I also agree with you in this terms, the ethical or unethical help, from here there is no way I could prove how serious and self-comprimises person I am.

And answering the last point, I could not prove that you are wrong because you don´t ; you are the expert and this is clear for all here, I did not want to pretend being irrespectful, just eager to find "ways" in wich ones I could focus on.

Thanks for your time and I will be checking further posts, comments related to this topic, and, as other ussers and you have posted, google some examples and explanations.

Hi there, thank you very much for such a good explanation.
The thing is that I really know how ambcious this project is, and by checking the information that you gave me... Now I relly know that maybe this is too much, in my major this type of topics are not commonly seen, I have just want to desing somthing free and getting my degree, as you can see I am still a student.

Please sir, could you please show me places (links) where can I study this? , or related topics with Hard Disk Drives.

Mister Sergey, first of all, show your good manners, I am currently studying and, in my major this topics are not studied, this is a project that I wanted to implement, to build-up by my own.

Secondly, I am here because you are experts, I do not want you permform the work for me, just point me in the correct direction. I have to admit that is verry disappointing that you show this attitude...

Look the other comments, they are trying to help... just remember when you used to be an student, image receiving this answer...

If you ever have opened a .sln file in Visual Studio 2012 you will see as follow:

Nameoftheproject.sln ----} Resource.rc ------}the content of the software.

All this in the resources view editor.

Hi Andi, it was not because I am lazy. The thing is that I considered better if someone out there will try if they get the same error as me.

Well, after doing some thing, I could run the software, the issue was relataed to the version of Visual Studio 2012. That is all, just specify the type of file that you want to open (Visual C++) and just wait until the software compile the data.

Hello Sir, thanks for your interest.

Well, let´s stablish the issue before anything:

1) I want to retreive the text from a damaged .doc file (please forget the .docx files).

If I get the way (software) that retreives the hexadecimal code from de damaged file and then, this hex code, will be added in the second software ( the one who transforms hexadecimal to text and viceversa )I will be able to see the pure text that was originally in the damaged word file.

This is what I am trying to do sir, a very basic software for data recovery.

True, but let`s avoid this, is there any way to design this? I mean, load the .doc file and in a richtextbox display the hexadecimal contect, then use a converter (the wich I almos have done) and finally see the data...

Hello Andi, thanks for your reply. This is excactly what I want to perfom.

1) Have a .doc file (i.e. word) and obtain the text on it, imagine that the .doc file is damaged and the only way to see the internal data is using an hexadecimal editor.

2) once the hexadecimal code is displayed, transfor it into a text values and in that way, retrieve the pure text inside the damaged .doc file.

This is a very small project of data recovery, I am doing this for getting my degree.

Ok Sir, thanks to you, my tools:

1) Visual Studio 2013 Original, I got this from the Store.
2) My progress:

I used the Visual Studio IDE Compiler but there are some errors that should not be, like this ones:

#include dir.h Error: it cannot possible to find the source file

And things like that.

You are right Sir, and excuse me for re-posting the question. Here you have the circumstances:

1) This was not the original teacher, he is like a back-up and he is unhappy for being teaching.

2) I do have an scholarship and If I fail the subject the school will take it away from me for good. (and obviously I do really need it)

3) You are right, I have no idea what to do with the source code, this is the first level and I am totally lost, I am just desperated, sorry if that bothered you.

Please try to be emphatic with my situation and try to remember when you used to be a begginer too. Thanks for reading.

Ok, this is for edit it, perfect, now, I want to compile it, I mean, create the .exe file, I tryed with Dev C++ and there are "errors" in the code, no way, I think that since is a very new version it not supports anymore this file, any suggestion??

Actually, as I said, this software is for educational purposes, I do have knowledge related to data recovery software (commercial brands) and tools for hard drives (head combs, magnetic tools, ramp set... etc), this field it´s new for me and that´s why I want to be involved in.

The knowledge should be free for all, when my students come to me I teach them, so Sir, if you have a data recovery software with explanation, pease share it.

Ok, got it, I do have a genuine version of Visual Studio 2013, but I did try to open it and it was not worth it, I would like to chance the aspect and keeping this functions, it is strongly for educational purposes.
