What would be the best way to obtain questions from an external source if i were making a win phone 7 mobile application which is basically a quiz type game?

A web service might be a good way to achieve this objective. The questions could be stored in a database (if your application has a large question bank). For a small bank, a text file might be enough.

Oh! Then you need to create Web Service, there may be ready made free of cost service available on net.. but plz google for it.. I think you may get that... Yes it is a good idea.
