Any information on Gronsfeld cipher would be helpful. I google did not got much
and whatever I got was not understandable to me.....

Solution 2

According to WikePedia, this Cipher is a variant of the Vigenere cipher:

For the vigenere cipher, you will find more than enough sample code that wil be easily adapted to the Gronsfeld cipher.
