Is there a way to install visual studio,
on mac operating system without virtual machine?
Posted

As far as I know you can't install Visual Studio on a Mac or run the .Net framework directly in it.

However, you can use Mono[^] to develop programs which would utilize .Net framework capabilities (as long as they are implemented in Mono).

For the editor, you can use MonoDevelop[^].

Correct, a 5.
Besides, one can develop .NET applications using Visual Studio; if written accurately and in compatible manner, they will execute under Mono without re-compilation.

Thank you :)
You can buy and install Windows in a Boot Camp partition and install Visual Studio on that partition.

Visual Studio will not tun directly on Mac OS.

It also does works in a virtual machine. You will loose a bit of performance when building your application. When running Visual Studio in a virtual machine, you have to give a lot of memory to the guest OS as otherwise build time will be much slower than when running directly on the hardware.
