How to make Gridview's column size strachable like visual studio's window gridview control in asp.net

Hello Professionals!!!
i have a problem in my asp.net project where i put a grid view control on page and there i want to make grid view's all column size stretchable like Excel Sheet's Column that can help a user to customize the extra space in columns.
i coded width="*" or "auto" but i also put a panel container control that contain the grid and after setting the property auto or * there is error in panel control i don't want to remove panel because i want scrollable grid.
please help.
