Hi,
We have decided to design & implement a CMS project & have seen your CMS code in Code Project site.
We have some problems in application design & have deliberated some CMS project such as
Dotnetnuke & Kentico & ... but couldn't find conclusive solution for Project architecture.
Could you guide us for this subject with documents or diagrams or etc?
Especial point for us is architecture of Core and modules & their relations for high manageability & maintainability & extendibility & security & any feature that has been required.
Thanks for regards indeed.

Running this in debug mode under VS 2005 RTM, I encounter null reference errors trying to retrieve the current page (even after using the fill script to create the default portal). I also encounter errors in the Fill Script (file not found.. probably when it tries to deal with the resources?). I pulled the source off your home page.

Hi Keith,
that's kinda dissapointing (but nice to now while it's still pre-alpha). Can you give me some more info on what exactly went wrong, a stacktrace maybe. I of course am not receiving null references or else I wouldn't have posted this code.
The resource files are hard coded against the beta 2 folder of dotNET, and might not work for you. I haven't had the time yet to update all of this. (I've teaching a lot lately, and also implemented client scripted webparts).
Let me know so I can update the code, and thanks for noticing it.

I noticed the pre-alpha alert after the fact, so I suppose I shouldn't expect too much.
I'll see about getting you a stack trace. It wasn't too difficult to induce, as I recall. It could potentially be a botched database install.

In SQL 2005 they seemed to have deprecated the textcopy command; at least wise it's not in the folder I can find; therefore causes the Fill Scripts to fail.

Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for the intel. The second edition of this app is under way. It is now called 'Galahad Portal Server' and I am planning on releasing an early build on Codeplex. The new features I've implemented is use of VirtualpathProviders, a page templating system, a safe mode-parser (PageParserFilter), safe-controls, support for multiple IIS websites / vdirs in one install, and a load balanced data layer which uses multiple content databases alla sharepoint.
Hope to release it soon, visit my blog to know when (give it a month or so though).
