i want to send messeges(just like net send)
to an specific ip from my web application.how can i do that, any body who has done that plz help me.

As stated by other guys the compiled source code does not work, but only the demo version works.
The author should answer to questions on the differences between source code and demo project.
As of CodeProject, source code sould be the ^SAME^ of the demo. Not a different version, worst if it is not working as it should.
One more thing, why packing the demo with PECompact? is it a way of considering, by the author, this software a kind of shareware ?
Voting 1, guys, for the author not answering and not helping out.

I complie the Source code with VC++ 6.0, but it doesn't send any message, if i use the demo project, it's ok! Why???
.....It seem that the demo project is version 1.6b; the source code generate an exe version 1.6.....

Another limitation of Windows NT and Windows 2000 is worth discussion because it affects datagram data transmissions. The Windows NT and Windows 2000 redirector cannot send or receive a complete datagram message sized 425 or 426 bytes. For example, if you send out a message from a Windows NT or Windows 2000 client to a Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, or Windows 2000 server, the Windows NT redirector truncates the message to 424 bytes before the sending it to the destination server.

Sothat, you can send maximum 424 bytes. However, If you want to send > 424 bytes, you can split the big message to n block (about 400 bytes). It is my idea.

When you work on LAN network and you want to say somethings to your co-workers, you use POPUP to do this.
The program replaces for "net send" commandline, winpopup ...
The program is used for LAN only. If your LAN dont connect into Internet, Can you use Yahoo or MSN Messenger???

This site is an excellent way for newbies to get inspiration by reading and downloading sourcecode in order to try and understand how things can be done.
The NetSend sample is just a great way to do so.
Wheather YOU prefer yahoo or msn messenger, is not relevant for users of this site. There are lots of stuff here that you probably wouldn't need att all. By then, you are not the right guy for taking advantage of the contents from this site.
I recommend that you stop f***ing around here and keep on playing with your yahoo or msn messenger instead spamming your shitload around here.

Dunno about you, but I'm a bit irritated by the Windows Messenger popups that float about.
I don't know if the protocol is outlined here yet (haven't checked out the source), but knowing how those things get here would, in fact, be the first, and most important step to blocking them, wouldn't you say?
As such, this application, whether it contains the protocol or not (one can always packet capture), may yet have its uses.
As for Yahoo or MSN, get yourself something that's not closed source, like Jabber.

Don't let the name of the program mislead you, it is not equivalent to 'net send' on NT boxes.
As for killing message spam, just turn off your messenger service.

Its sad that people like you are allowed to comment on some good works like this one. Hey stupid person, don't you know that these days Popup Blocker is the biggest demand of the market which kills Internet Explorer and other browsers popup windows using helper objects and other techniques. So the persons interested in sending popup messages over internet are also attentive towards these type of application which can send a single formated message to the given range of IPs.
