And I was not born until until 1976.

The clickable button was invented by Xerox 25 years ago. Mac users have had access to for it nearly two decades. I have a lot of appreciation and respect for Chris in general, but he should not get (or claim) credit for this invention.

Spoil sport. Obviously Xerox, and Apple didn't encapsulate this functionality in a nicely packaged, object oriented format, and so Chris' offering here is a true innovation.

Or should I spend some time inventing it?
Fire away man... It'll be a bit hard to do though.. But I've never seen an editable edit-box so I think it'll have a market!!!

I downloaded the project, compiled it, started and all I got is this:
Unhandled Exception: System.ArithmeticException: Overflow or underflow in the arithmetic operation.
at System.Drawing.Font.Initialize(FontFamily family, Single emSize, FontStyle style, GraphicsUnit unit, Byte gdiCharSet, Boolean gdiVerticalFont)
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
Thx,
Patko

I have exactly the same exception in a different project. The exception is thrown when the application starts. It only happens on one machine. It's no dependant on the operating system, because the app generally works on Win98, WinME, WinXP home, WinXP professional, WinNT4 and Windows 2000.

This idea would be even more valuable if you implemented it as a web service. Think of the $$$ you could rake in with micro-charges for each clickable click.

I tried the example but it doesn't work.
I don't have VC.NET or VC installed at all.
Where am I going wrong?
Whats a compiler?

Hello,
It is not fun to harm other computers. Also who defines a clickable button to be clickable or a listview list to be a listview list?
I makes no sense to me. A moving around the screen unclickable button would be more fun.

I saw an article titled "Obfuscating your Mandelbrot code" by Chris Losinger a while ago, which was a lot fun to read.
It would be even more fun to see someone writes a "Un-Obfuscating your Mandelbrot code" article that does exactly the opposite. Anyone wants to do it? Nish? Where are you when we need you?
