I think someone has major phallic issues here...
The only magic that I could see happening with something like this is the speed at which it would be deleted off of any machine that I would be using.

Oh, and don't take that as being critical.

Norm Almond: I seen some GUI's in my life but WTF is this mess
Leppie: I made an app for my sister and she wouldnt use it till it was colorful enough
Norm:good point leppie, from that statement I can only deduce that this GUI must be aimed at children

Hmmmm,
I'm almost contemplating an article,
How not to make a GUI,
This article has given me some more ideas.

Hey dude,
There lies a real GUI treasure in your brain! How do you manage to create all this *COOL* GUIs? Also, do you have a consulting company focused on demonstrating some crazy, sexy and cool GUIs like this?

While I agree that the GUI is almost completely unusable, I don't think that was the point of the article. I think what he was trying to demonstrate was the e-mailing part of the article...

True. The especially good part is the Close button and the one right next to it that change colors all the time.

Just think though how much traffic this "fabulous" GUI has generated.
I think maybe it's called Mail "Magic" because the author was eating magic mushrooms when conceiving the GUI..
For the purposes of demonstration, I've always found the plain jane UI convinces people of the functionality, because then the marketing people can say .,... hmm... we'll dress this up, dress that up, but if they vomit the first time they see it, they won't even consider how cool the functionality is.
