 | I've been using Todolist for about five years, often in a GTD application. Here are a few suggestions that I would like to propose:
- Display the actual day of the week under the "Due" column if it is within the next week (eg - "Monday," "Tuesday," etc. Due dates longer than a week away... |

This is great. |
|
 | Allowing columns to be collapsed or allowing manual widths approaching zero would work great. Thanks.

|
 | Would it also be possible to allow columns to be reordered at the same time?

 | Hello.
If finding task in encoding windows-1251, you must perfectly match case, or task will not be finded.
This is for 'edit > find tasks' and for 'quick find'.
Thanks. |

Hi c_v
Could you send me a simple tasklist together with exactly how to reproduce the bug?

 | Hello - When I click the Set Reminder button, I get presented with the Set Reminder dialog where I can choose the time of day. The choices go from 12:00a to 11:30p, and of course I can type in a time of my choosing.
When I choose 4:30p from the dropdown box and clicking OK, it... |

 | Hi Jono
I can't reproduce the bug at present.
Can you send me screenshots of:
1. The reminder dialog with the list dropped down
2. 'Control Panel > Region and Language > Formats'
My email address is in my signature.

 | Dan,
I would like to suggest that the main Task square be a different color than all the sub-task squares.
We have had an issue where the user did not properly align his sight when deleting what he thought were subtasks but turned out to be task squares.
Thanks,... |

 | No sir, I mean deleting. The problem was he didnt see the distinction between a sub-task "Completion" box and a task "Completion" box and in deleting what he thought was a sub-task he actually deleted a task.
Having the completion box colored might not be the best answer, obviously... |
|
 | If he turns on the 'Enable delete confirmation dialog' then a special distinction is made for tasks with subtasks.

 | ps. In the future I will be implementing a 'Recycle Bin' for tasks so that they can be recovered at a later date.

 | As always, thanks Dan. We appreciate your efforts. |

 | I often have to wait for something to happen or give my businesspartnes e.g. a week time to react before i (can) follow up with a task. Actually i don´t want to see this task in the list until it´s time to follow up.
TDL is missing a brief function to defer a task some days, weeks etc.... |
|
 | Have you tried 'Edit > Other Task Attributes > Offset Task Dates'?
.dan.g.
AbstractSpoon SoftwareFacebookemail: abstractspoon2_at_optusnet_dot_com_dot_au |
|
 | I did not but it´s not exactly what i´m looking for anyway.
Some projects (tasks) started a month ago. Say i have to wait one week before i can continue. So "Offsetting" the Start Date by one week make out of the 9 Sep the 15 Sep!!
The task still remains in the list as today it´s Oct... |
|
 | It sounds like you don't want the dates changed, but that you want a way of hiding tasks for some period of time. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Unfortunately TDL can only filter by task attribute so we'll need to agree exactly which date(s) would need to change so that the filter can hide... |
|
 | I want the start date changed/defered (pushed in the future). That leads automatically to hiding the task until the start date is reached. For that working of course you have to choose Show "M) Tasks Started by Today"
Thank You

|
 | How about I just add a checkbox to the 'Offset Dates' dialog to calculate the offset from 'Today'?

 | That´s what i thought first, too. It´s surely the simplest way to achieve it.
Then i thought a designated Defer-Dialog would be more intuitive for the user. You could also offer the most frequently used defer intervals as predefined options there. The defer-to-next-monday option is one... |
|
 | Let me do the simple option first, because I think your other suggestion might be part of a larger debate.
It may be for instance that the 'Offset Dates' dialog gets renamed and upgraded to 'Defer Task(s)'.

|
 | Sounds also great for me!
Dan, you can keep the name "Offset Dates" as the dialog is not only for offsetting the start date. Although i think only a few users will then realize that this function is good for pushing tasks in the future (defering)
Thank You

 | Maybe 'Deferral' is in fact a new attribute, that gets applied to both the start date and the due date without actually changing those dates.
ie. 'Apparent start date' = 'Actual start date' + 'Deferral'
and 'Apparent due date' = 'Actual due date' + 'Deferral'
And it would have... |
