ps. From 6.7 I will be removing the non-Unicode build configurations, simply because I will (most likely) never again release a non_Unicode build.

I agree. In particular, this improvement has made an amazing program even more useful for me:
Quote: Extended 'Recurrence' dialog to support 'First in Month' etc
Cheers, Dan!

Thanks from me too. Just got back from holiday, and we have a new version to use. The new features are very useful.

This software is great, but... I use a mac most of the time, and running a VM just to run this app is a bit too much of a resource hog (its exactly what I was doing at one point).
So not a criticism, at all, just wish there was also a mac version.
One for the ToDoList ? j/k - I don't expect there to ever be a mac version.

I believe you can run TDL on a Mac under Wine.

I tried Wine but I couldn't make it work, I couldn't even really figure out what the hell I was doing with it. Guess I need to look for a good Wine tutorial first. I am back doing some windows work inside my VM so can for now, run ToDoList in there. Would love to crack the OSX nut though and get it running on OSX.

Sorry for the strange title of the posting, but I don't know the right wording ...
Maybe already a standard feature, but I never thought about it:
Some software applications (like Word, AutoCAD) can work with "external referenced files". There is a main-file ("master.tdl") and some sub-files ("sub1.tdl"; "sub2.tdl"; "sub3.tdl").
All "subs" are normal, standard TDL files which can be used and edited.
The "master" only contains "links / references / attachments" to the "subs" and displays them all.
Is it possible?

Hi Pierre
Do you mean/know of Tools - Export Tasks... Export to one file?
Patrick

|

No. This would be the second-best solution.
I want to open "master.tdl" and all referenced TDLs are loaded and merge dynamically in this master-file.

Just wanted to make sure
Has been asked several times before, I think.
Let's just see what Dan has to say ...

Can you describe in more detail how this will benefit you? I don't see an obvious business case.

That's the difficult part of the story
I'm going to start some similar projects which I want to administrate with TDL. My idea was / is to create a separate TDL-file for each project - same basic structure and same attributes, but of course different contents. So I can handle, edit, save, backup each file in / with its project, and the file-size will stay acceptable. To get an overview of all running projects I would use the "master-file" mentioned above.
- But in another way I could create one big TDL-files which contains all projects and I use filters and so.
- Or I will use different files, but use the feature "Export to one file" (mentioned above, too).
So this master-file-idea could help sometimes, but it is not an "absolute must" and maybe other features are more useful. Was only a question if it is already possible.
Regards
Pierre

... the option does not work in some tasklists, for example
DV-1trouble.tdl
|
|
|
|

|
Can you be more specific about what is _wrong_?
|
|
|
|

|
I'v enabled hide collapsed tasks, but filter doesn't work..
plz try with my ini file ToDoList.ini
To reproduce bug, tasklist from my previous post should inherit settings of ..DV-1trouble.tdl from ini.

|
|
|

|
Strange, it works for me in 6.5.10 and 6.6.beta using both your .tdl and your .ini.
