Introduction

A lot of us invest in stock markets. This app targets automating a lot of manual processes to help you to invest intelligently.

Category - Finance

App Idea

  1. User can enter his stock details and the app will show a real time projection.
  2. User can have favorite stocks & stock lists and get their current values real time.
  3. Search any stocks.
  4. Analyze trend for favorite stocks in last week or month.
  5. User can define rules for new stocks.
    1. Display stocks within price range X - Y.
    2. Notify when a stock A exceeds X or goes below Y.
    3. Manage rules for stock list, favorite or individual stock.

Approach

  1. Have a service that holds stock companies information.
  2. Use YQL to get stock data for any company.
  3. Use Yahoo Chat API to display graphical representation.

Coding Language

  1. A service using C# to get stock and store in sqllite.
  2. C# and XAML based application to make query using YQL to Yahoo finance APIs
