Windows 8 app to create nursing schedule

Please note

My idea is to create an app that creates working hours calendar for the nursing staff ( of nursing homes, hospital, etc) from a patient's assesment. The nursing staff only have to do assessments to the patients and the app would provide a calendar for the monthly tasks.

Intended Platform: Tablet (probably Phone)

Category: Health

Intended Users: Nursing staff.

The app is based on the Interrai System (an assesment system created by a non profit researcher's network) , this system uses simple assessments to outcome some risk analysis. I have found that these assessments also can be used to plan the schedule of the nursing staff of an hospital or nursing home. The app can be used by all the nursing staff, there will be different permissions to create some areas only visible for managers.

my idea is to create the app for a touch enabled device (tablet for example) and to use some of the characteristics of Windows 8 and touch enabled devices like using touch gestures, using the cam to record videos or photos of the patients and record voice notes.  Another feature I will add is to get data from different sensors, for example to get the electrocardiagram data.

I would like to use voice commands to control the app but this is a future feature.

My idea is to create the code in C# with the TDD aproach, I have a framework and a code generator so my idea is to adapt my generator for Windows 8 apps and create an skeleton. I will use entity framework as ORM and as database.
