This App will be entering in (Education/Tablet)
This Application will have 2 keyfeatures that help students to focus on learning.
The first one is, that when you starts the app, all notifications will be disabled. Why? -Because, every time when you starting to learn or read the script of a lesson, you will be notify that new emails are available, or something new is happen in facebook etc. So to be very focus in learning, the app shut down all notifications.
The second key feature is:
At my university, lots of lessons are recorded as video.
This app is able to show the lesson video and show the script to the lesson (as pdf). So you can hear and read simultaneously and mark or make notes into the script and the "killer"-feature is that the app can also "hear" what the professor says in the video and the words that he say are displayed as a list in the app, so that you can also put these words as marks or notes in the script-pdf. Also when the professor saying a technical-term or a foreign word you get the, let say, a wikipedia description of it.
So this should be a simple overview of the app. I hope the readers can understand my idea of it.
So because my app is working on a windows machine for the first keyfeature, the disabling notification, it probably can be written a simple plug-in or something like this.
For the second feature, there will be build-in frameworks to play movies and display pdfs.
For "hearing", also known as voice recognition, I would use Open Source Tool CMU Sphinx
from "http://cmusphinx.sourceforge.net/", maybe I must compile it for Win8/RT, but because its written in C, that should not be a problem.
I would use VisualStudio, because my university is a membership of microsofts dreamspark. So I would get the perfect IDE.
For creating the interface I would use Photoshop, or the Win8 GUI Elements.
I'm 23-years old student from Frankfurt. I'm studying computer-science, and I will finished it at the end of this year with my bachelors degree.
In the case of my age, I have not so lots of experience as an older developer as me
I'm developing iOS Apps since 2010 and I have, because I have a job as a developer, experience in developing websites with PHP, mySQL, HTML, CSS, js/jQuery.
I have two App in the App Store "English Terms" and "Clear Depts", because I was interested how the App Store approval process is working and how I can submit apps to the App Store.
