Project rainmaker is a turn-based artillery game. similar to the game worms. In this game, Each player takes control of a single vehicle. The objective is to be the last one standing.

Several playable vehicle and avatars will be available to choose from. The type of vehicle chosen will effect the type of artillery fired.
In the current mock-up we have:
- Battle Tank - a balanced vehicle with high defence low mobility and medium fire power
- Light Armoured Tank - high mobility, low defence
- Impulse Jet - highest mobility, low fire-power, low defence
- Heavy Tank - low mobility, high fire power, low denseness
Players will take turns shooting, on a players turn, a menu will appear above your character to choose which kind of shot you want to fire. special attacks can only be used a limited number of times. In this mode you can click on the screen to choose how much you want to move you vehicle. In this case, planes can fly in any direction and even land.
Once you're positioned and ready, its time to fire. slide back on your vehicle and a cursor will appear will show detailing the angle of shot, the further you drag back the stronger the shot will be. When the finger is release the shot will be fired. the camera will pan towards the shot.
Pictured above is the shot fired by the tank towards the jet fighter, It will inflict damage when it hits. Once a players health bar is diminished they are out of the game and the death-match continues.
When a shot hits the ground, it will create a creator. anything above it will fall down. if a player falls out of a map they are also out of the game. certain characters may be better at destroying ground underneath a player rather thank dropping their health bar. The strategy you choose will depend on the vehicle abilities.
The wind condition will periodically change making it difficult to hit from long distances without skilled shots or special vehicles.
The All-in-One Advantage
With a large screen, a fun turned passed game can be shared among friends. The screen will be mirrored in the middle so that players on either side can control their vehicles on their turn. Once again, the greatest advantage this platform has is its large touch screen size. It will make for a easy to use and intuitive interface.
The application uses the Windows Presentation Foundation to render the visual interface.Microsoft XNA Game Studio framework will be used to manage the game sounds and basic data types that the Farseer Physics Engine will use.
I currently have 5 years of programming experience and am eager to learn more. I've worked on android applications with focus on embedded systems. Most recently spent a work term working on a silverlight c# based application with strict patterns and requirements. What sets me apart is my attention and focus on pleasurable user experiences.
