openClinic's main aim is to act as an interface between Doctor and Patient(especially in developing countries), provide better medical guidance, for non-life threatening diseases, from authorized doctors and during the process eliminating unauthorized self-proclaimed doctors and solving the problem of high  “Doctor patient ratio” by using available resources.

  • 1.       Separate logins for Doctors and Patients.
  • 2.       Doctors need to provide:

è Proof of authenticity of their medical background(for example in India every practicing doctor needs to be registered with ‘Medical council of India’ and are provided with a ‘Registration Number’, We will use that for verification).

è A self-introduction video.

è List of days on which they will available to provide medical guidance and No of patients they can handle on per day basis( so that they can plan out their schedule and their regular practice will not suffer).

è A time period within which they will provide feedback to patients.

è List of languages they are fluent in.

  • 3.       We will keep track of doctors location using Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet2’s GPS functionality( can also use HTML5 geo location functionality as a backup option)
  • 4.       Once patient logs in, he/she needs to mention symptoms. Based on symptoms and patients geolocation, app will generate list of doctors who are practicing within a radius of 10km( so that if needed patient can visit doctor).
  • 5.       A patient needs to choose a doctor based on his availability.
  • 6.       Using camera or recording features of Lenovo tab Patient can also upload self video or audio describing their problems.
  • 7.       Patients can upload pictures or videos of their retina, tongue etc which will doctor in providing better medical guidance.
  • 8.       As soon as patient subscribes to a particular doctor, respective doctor will be alerted on his tab through our app.
  • 9.       Similarly once doctor provides feedback respective patient will be alerted on his tab through our app.
  • 10.   We will encourage doctors to provide their services for free as a part of social service by letting them to access our services for free and highlighting such doctors.
  • 11.   But doctors who want to charge are also welcome but we will suggest them to keep their charges to minimum as target of our application are people from villages and small towns.

Our app mainly focuses on villages and small towns of developing countries or middle class people who need medical guidance at affordable price.

In future this app can also be used by local governments and WHO to provide better medical services to masses. With the availability of digital stethoscope, otoscope, blood pressure monitor etc (source, which can be attached to a windows 8 tab or phone, proper reading of patients medical condition can be taken; which will then be uploaded to our app and will help doctors in providing better and more accurate medical guidance. Local centers can be opened by government or WHO in villages or localities within cities not having proper medical facilities where such devices will be kept.
