Really nice job there! I was wondering, is there a way to place the menu on a toolbar?? What i want to do is place it NOT right after the form's caption, but place it like 100pixels below, while i can still keep the default system's form caption.
Simply said, alike in most of today's apps on a toolbar

Truly, an awesome component. don't knwo what I did without it for so long. But, I have a question. I'm using the first version of the menus in an MDI app. One of the menus has the MDIList=True
Problem is that I am using custom sidebar gradients and I can not find a way to have the same gradient colors used for the sidebar of the MDIlist items that are added as MDI children are opened.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to create a new predefined scheme?
If the new version fixes this problem, I'll download it, but I don't want to go through switching menu systems until I know the new one allows me to either define more pre-defined gradient schemes or use a custom gradient scheme for menu items added on the fly.
thanks in advance, and again, great tool!!!

This is a truly great component : congratulations ! And thanks !
And now - of course - a small question :
I use MDI, and have the same problem as codegalaxy .
I am now experimenting with your "version 2" , to avoid the problem.
The users now are used to the following behaviour :
- non-expandable menu items use ShowHiliteOverSideBar = True, and SidebarStyle = Office2003Blue.
This gives wide yellow highlight.
- expandable menu items (that have submenus) use the default : ShowHiliteOverSideBar = False, SideBarstyle = DefaultGradient
This gives narrow blue highlight.
How can I do this with the new version ?
Thanks for any help you can offer .

Nice control, I've tried your new one with the provider component.
When I set a contextMenu to a notifyIcon while using your component, the menu doesn't show properly.
Have you seen this and can you think of how to fix the problem?
Again, nice work.

Great job (I use the updated version of your control)!
But I found a bug in localizable forms: when I change the language, the menubar doesn't resize itself in case of labels shorter or longer than original (I use a language switch without restart the form).
Is it possible to resolve this bug?
Thank

This is just a wicked tool brother. Companies charge $500 for a component as user friendly and packed full of features as this - I love it. You are the man!!

thanx for the comments. now about the icons. do the following :
1. run office 2003.
2. take screenshots (of the icons)
3. open in ms-paint.
4. cut those icons and save in bmp format.
5. now download "Any To Icon" software (search in google).
6. now convert those icons to .ico format.
7. congratulations! you now have the office 2003 damn good looking icons.
bye for now. gotta go...

I have a mdi application that one of the children adds it items to them main menu - when this happens the icons dissappear untill the child(children) windows that are merged are closed. Is this a bug or is there a setting to handle this?

I'm looking for a nice .NET menu for a long time and now i found it. Thak you! There is a little bug which you can see if you run your test application. Hover about the mainmenu menuitem, then click on it so that the subitems appears, then click one's more so that the subitems disappear. Now you can see below the mainmenu menuitem the line of pixels that is missing above. This would be the one and only (little) bug which has to be fixed.
So long.
Sebastian.
