Ok, don't be afraid. In the US that number of weapons would be given to police if one man brings in his ones. For other countries the number isn't bad at all. Wink | ;)

Kind of curious what a "Septic" is.
 
Also curious as to what you think is the percentage is of those guns to the total number in private ownership in Australia?

No idea, these are all illegal weapons so it's hard to estimate how many are out there. This was only within a single state of Australia, not a national scheme. In 1996 we had a national buy back of newly illegal fire arms and over 500,000 were turned in.

Actually I was referring to legal gun ownership.
 
And there is nothing in the posted link that suggests all of the weapons were illegal. Nor even that a significant percentage was.
