With a little more information about your work, your goals, the intended audience of your web-site, I think I could come up with something better I've created slogans for several companies. My favorite one is "Tools for Toolmakers" for my friend Mihai Chis at AxTools.
«If you search in Google for 'no-one ever got fired for buying IBM:' the top-hit is the Wikipedia article on 'Fear, uncertainty and doubt'» What does that tell you about sanity in these times?
I don't find it bad if people try to advertise the good work they are doing. That is one way of getting recognised and getting in turn getting helped in the cause as well. In any case his initiatives are very much appreciable.
Hey CPians, I got in a trouble. Today my employer informed me that, they are closing the Windows Apps department in the company. I am having 2+ year of Windows (Phone) 8/8.1 apps development experience. I am allowed to switch to either web development i.e ASP.NET or mobile apps development i.e. Android/iOS. Existing developers will give training.
So I am now totally clueless what to choose. Mobile is future as we all know but I am a .NET guy, my grip on C# & LINQ would help me to easily learn ASP.NET. Moreover I am also looking for some government jobs related to IT (Which demands mostly a web dev guy). Modi has unveiled "Digital India", hence there would be job related to web more or less.
So I request you all to suggest me in the context of future job opportunity.
I suggest to go with web technology. Especially you have to target web development with ASP.NET MVC and not the WebForms.
Say if you are going with mobile development. Which one are you focusing, Android or iOS. I guess you can't do both.
Web has a great future though mobile is a big thing these days. All I would say is, when it comes to job opportunities, with web especially with your skill set you can easily get through most of the companies.
