I liked his movies because he's the one who made many female lead movies in Tamil. Nowadays elephanting directors use heroines only for songs & sh***y romance(?) scenes. K.B was a great director who made over 100+ films. Apart from movies, he produced more than bunch of good serials. Ramany vs Ramany is my favourite.

What are all the movies you guys liked it from the K.Balachander direction?
Varumayin Niram Sivappu
Aval Oru Thodar Kathai
Ethir Neechal(not the new crap - 2013 film)
Sindhu Bhairavi Thillu Mullu[^]
Yes all those films are very nice to see.yesterday i saw an old program about Mr.K.B, he said, that he did nearly 140 films(both as a Director & Producer). Our Legends like Rajini,Kamal and other artists have big Rise made by Mr.K.B.
She was telling that they are targeting AST designated people who are still just coding. AST position is fattening their pyramid. Unfortunately, my wife is also AST. Not sure if she will be sent away. Regrouping will be done by Feb.
Have a friend there; he knows a person with many years of experience (> 15 yrs) who had not updated himself with the recent technologies - is being shown the door. Not sure whether this is on a large scale or not.
Yes - he was a Manager - but he had:
- No Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, Scrum, etc.) [this can be used by TCS to get / retain customers].
- No Technology focus (at least one new technology is to be known reasonably well) [otherwise, the manager can get misled by the team, in terms of estimation, tracking, etc.].
Sadly, there are many managers like this; and the future in TCS (or anywhere) of such managers is bleak, looks like.
good in Management
IMHO, to a large extent, this requires some working knowledge of at least one modern technology in the Web, Mobile, Desktop space.
Addendum: Strictly speaking, Scrum is not a Proj Management certification; but is different from Technology, so I grouped it there.
