Depends on what you want
Touch screen - Samsung
Windows - HTC
Nokia is really good if you don't mind using Symbian. I am happy with S60v5. Never felt that I miss something. But if you have windows phone or touch screen in your mind then forget nokia.
Won't say anything about LG.

If you ask me , android any day. Android is a revolution in phone industry.
There are nice mobile models, also it depends on your budget. what's your budget ?

You can go for sophone 4s its cool you can search it out in google, the price is around 12k.
Other options would be lg optimus,htc wildfire,samsung galaxy ace.

What if I go for Nokia lumia 610 or 603 ?

Don't I own a nokia lumia 800 and bcoz of lack of apps I do miss something (I like the model, looks and access specially the tile view). but with any model lower than this it has even less facility and supporting app.
I would suggest samsung galaxy ace duos, its great phone my friend bought it a month ago and it is really worth the money + its an android phone with lots of apps. I personally love my lumia but if you want to buy lumia 800 then only I will suggest it otherwise for a cheaper phone definately go for samaung galaxy ace duos (not samsung galaxy ace)

Thanks Varsha! Now I have more filtered data. So I will go for Samsung.
Edit: Just Googled Samsung Ace Duos, It comes with 3.15 megapixel camera and I need 5 mega pixel. There is one model samsung galaxy ace S5830 with 5mega pixel but you suggested to buy ace duos, Confused again

My friend owns samsung galaxy ace duos(gsm) and that has 5 megapixel camera...You might have check ace duos cdma

I differ. Nokia has a very good app store based on symbian. Again how many of installed apps you use on your phone? I have office installed, but used it just once. As I said, Nokia-Windows is not a good combination for now.

I have installed many like schedulers, shopping carts, qr and barcode scanner, adobe reader, google+, chat and many more.
office is inbuilt in my phone (preinstalled) and I use it for saving poems from internet and read them later when I get time.

My experience with samsung galaxy is good but it does not provide folder privacy.... So if privacy matters for you then forget samsung..
