If you make a plain html template, put a div in the body with the class mentioned, and use your class attributes like above in a style element in the header it does just what I think you want: a box with a border around it ( I did add a width and height to the div so I could see it ). First thought is that maybe a subsequent css file called for in the html file is overriding your class settings? Try placing your css file with this class above as last in your style element section of your html file and see if that changes anything.
I am creating an HTA to perform a custom backup. I would like to use an HTML readonly textarea control as a space that will receive logging output. Whenever I need to log an activity, I'd like to write a new line to the textarea which means you will see multiple lines and you should be able to scroll through them.
If I use the line below, I see it displayed, no problem.
txtLog.value = "Input has been determined to be valid - continuing"
When I try to write another line, the first one disappears and the new line is visible. I have tried to use vbCr, vbLf, and vbCrLf. If I use the line shown below, the cursor moves to the next line but the first line is erased.
txtLog.value = vbCrLf & "Output: Line2"
How do I write multiple lines to the textarea during runtime, have no lines erased and allow for a scrollbar? I do see a scrollbar grayed out so I am assuming that it will appear when the number of rows specified in the textarea tag have been exceeded.
I have done some searching but haven't found an answer so far. I'm hoping someone in this forum may be familiar with how to do this.
If you have VB and VB.NET experience then the simple answer would be to build a web application using ASP.NET. The next question would be on whether you should build it using web forms or MVC. For simple applications then web forms is ideal. For more complex applications then you could consider MVC.
It really depends on what the needs of the application are, and finding the right balance between those and your skill set.
I had developed a dot net website in c#.I want to embed a video in my website,which should be compatible in all browsers without using html5.I had tried but the video is playing or compatible on IE only.What should i do.please provide some suggestions or code.I will be grateful to you.
I have developed MVC3 website and deployed it on IIS7 server.
When I test the site just by running it from my solution, the layouts works fine with IE8 and firefox browsers. But once I give the URL which is taken from the server, my design layout is not getting applied to IE8 browser but works fine with firefox.
<title><asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="TitleContent" runat="server" /></title>
<link href="~/Content/Site.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<link href="~/Content/Calander/jquery-ui.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<link href="~/Content/jquery-ui.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
script tags workes fine but the Link tags are not recognized properly in IE8
Please help me to sort this out
Thank you very much
I've installed VS 2013 Professional Edition and created a project as shown below
1. File->New Project
2. Templates->Visual C#->Web->Visual Studio 2012
3. Selected ASP.Net MVC4 Web Application and clicked on OK button
A new project got created. I haven't done any code changes. Run the application using internet Explorer. Its working fine and when I clicked on Login link,
below exception was thrown. Please let me know if I missed anything.
Exception: An exception of type 'System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException' occurred in mscorlib.dll but was not handled in user code
It probably means that you have not added the required implementation code for some method that will be called by the framework. Check the MVC documentation, and also look at the place where the exception occurred.
Step through the code and see where the exception is being thrown. You can then view the full details such as the stacktrace and innerexception which should give you sufficient information to resolve your error.
On Windows Server 2008 R2 when the MSSOAPINIT method of the SOAP objectis used then the error shown below is thrown
Error Number = -2147352567
ErrorShort Description = WSDLReader:XML Parser failed at linenumber 0, lineposition 0, reason is: Not enough storage is available to process this command.
HRESULT=0x1: Incorrect function.
- WSDLReader:Loading of the WSDL file failed HRESULT=0x80070057: The parameter is incorrect.
- Client:One of the parameters supplied is invalid. HRESULT=0x80070057: The parameter is incorrect.
On further analysis it was found that the web service hosted on the same application can be accessed without any error but if the Web service is on one Web Site in IIS and this Web Service is accessed from another Web Site then the error shown above is thrown. Can anyone please suggest what could be the cause of such issue
