Tel-Aviv, May 16, 2013 – Typemock, (http://www.typemock.com/) the leading provider and pioneer of automated unit testing solutions held a corporate event to celebrate eight years since its founding. CEO Eli Lopian addressed the gathering and laid out his thoughts on the necessity of unit testing in software development: “Any software programmer that does not do unit testing is a reckless coder”, declared Lopian. “Unit testing is an essential part of any software development process. It allows you to deliver working code, with fewer bugs, faster. Typemock has made huge advances with its automated unit testing tools in the past eight years. The old arguments that unit testing is too hard no longer apply!”
Lopian noted that Agile Software Development has become widely accepted in recent years, but that some programmers still insist that unit testing is not an integral part of the Agile process. Lopian argues this point: “Without unit testing you may think you are Agile, you may be running fast but you are not healthy, you won’t be able to keep up to speed. Sooner or later, you, or even worse: your customers, will start finding bugs which will compel you to introduce changes to what is now legacy code - without any tests to show you what you’ve done wrong. In today’s hyper-competitive market, corporations cannot afford the resource and time drain of having to re-write their entire code every few years due to code decay.”
Lopian predicted that in the coming years all software will be developed with unit testing. He hopes the change will come from industry-made regulations similar to ISO, so that “software safety standards” will be in place. “As a developer myself, I have a dream”, Lopian ended, “that programmers will take the leap and become agile – really agile! This means not being afraid of legacy code, this means being proud of the software they've created, and this means building usable and sustainable code for millions of users. All this is within everyone's reach right now – with unit testing”.

White paper from WSO2 examines how to optimize the storage, management and analysis of big data using open source tools that are established and well vetted

What’s new in this release?
We are pleased to announce the new release of Aspose.Email for Java 2.9.0. As Aspose.Email for Java is autoported from its equivalent .NET version, any new feature implemented in the .NET version is available automatically in the ported Java version. Aspose.Email for Java 2.9.0 now supports adding contacts, notes, tasks, calendar, and journal items to PST files in the same way as messages are added to PST. We have also fixed a number of bugs, reported earlier by our valued customers and users, in this month’s release. Issues related to email conversion to other formats such as MHTML, saving image from a VCard, processing ICS files, creating PSTs with a large number of email messages, saving attachments from message using stream and some exceptions. The main bug fixes added in this release are listed below

What's New in this Release?
The long awaited version of Aspose.Words for .NET & Java (13.4.0) has been released. This month’s release includes contains a massive 154 improvements to Aspose.Words, including several big performance boosts and interesting new features. The amount of memory required to render a document has been reduced by more than 20-30%. Rendering of images to PDF improved by approximately 25% when saving with JPEG compression. The size of images stored in PDF files generated by Aspose.Words has been reduced in many cases. Duplication of images could sometimes occur in some situations. This issue has been resolved and file size improved in these cases. In this release Aspose.Words introduces support for digitally signing DOC and DOCX documents. A digital signature adds an extra layer of protection to a document and ensures that the document content has not been tampered with. This feature adds an “invisible” signature to the document, which is not to be confused with a signature line which is a digital signature accompanied by a normally handwritten signature image. With this release Aspose.Words can now detect the compliance of a loaded OOXML document and resave the document using the correct compliance. This avoids the document being saved to the wrong specification and unexpected compatibility warnings. The list of most notable new and improved features in this release are listed below

Presentation will examine how a governed cloud-based distributed system can effectively manage diverse developer groups across government organizations
Palo Alto, CA – May 14, 2013 – A governed cloud-based distributed development environment helps connect program managers and information assurance professionals with developers to facilitate application development. This enables software acquisitions program managers across government organizations to control and field applications both locally and remotely. WSO2 Director of Defense and Government Solutions Adam Firestone will examine the impact and benefits of this approach in his keynote presentation at Cloud Computing East 2013. Adam Firestone will present his keynote examining governed platform as a service (PaaS) on Monday, May 20, 2013. The session is part of the event’s Cloud Computing for Government gCLOUD© Track, which focuses on government cloud computing deployments. In his talk, Adam will identify classic programmatic risks associated with distributed development teams and rapidly evolving information assurance requirements, and he will explain how a governed PaaS-based distributed development environment mitigates these risks. Adam then will explore how this architectural approach empowers program managers to effectively manage projects with multiple developer organizations and reduce the time and cost associated with the certification of traditional and mobile application development in the government sector.

Adam Firestone is WSO2 director of defense and government solutions. In this role, he works across the scope of the WSO2 team to understand and craft technology solutions that address the unique challenges facing today’s military, intelligence and government organizations (http://wso2.com/whitepapers/the-revolution-in-military-affairs-2-0-information-dominance-and-the-democratization-of-information-technology). What's New in this Release?
The latest version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET (8.0.0) has been released. This release includes better support for existing file manipulation. This new release has specific improvements for PDF printing, PDF to DOC, XPS and various image format conversions. We have also focused on watermarking, text extraction, PDF compression and bookmarking functionalities. Please note that we recently introduced an Examples dashboard which contains code examples for Aspose.Total for .NET products. From this release, the Examples dashboard is part of the product installer. Today, developers can define representational state transfer (REST) APIs in an ESB without writing additional code. However, exposing enterprise applications as RESTful APIs and managing them can present new challenges. We are happy to announce the release of Aspose.Tasks for .NET 5.3.0. With this release, Aspose.Tasks for .NET supports reading and writing tasks, resources, task links, calendar, resource assignments, outline codes and extended attributes data in Microsoft Project 2013 XML format. Thus, Aspose.Tasks now supports reading and writing MSP 2013 in both MPP and XML format. This month’s release has also fixed a number of bugs related to Microsoft Project 2003 and 2010 MPP formats such as calendar data update, rendering contents of a cell without truncation, and some regression issues. Lead author Jonathan Marsh is WSO2 vice president of business development and product design. For more than 15 years, he has helped to develop, standardize and promote core XML and Web services standards, and he previously served as an active member in the W3C and WS-I working groups and OASIS technical committees. Jonathan joined WSO2 in 2006 as the director of mashup technologies. Previously, he led the development of various Web Services standards at Microsoft. Jonathan also co-founded and served as design director of Walkabout Software, which Microsoft acquired.

What’s new in this release?
The long awaited version of Aspose.Cells for .NET 7.4.3 has been released. This month’s release includes an enhancement for copying a cell over a range of cells. We have added a new overload: AutoFitColumns (int firstRow, int firstColumn, int lastRow, int lastColumn, AutoFitterOptions options), so you can use auto-fitting options even in a range. Similarly, you may now copy tables when copying ranges. We have also made enhancement regarding the Smart Markers’s Group Data feature. We have fixed a few exceptions when reading and writing Excel files and resolved an issue on Mono for the exception “Unknown Heap Type: SmartAssembly”. In the new release, several other important issues have also been addressed. For example, issues around rendering Excel files, rendering PivotTables and Pivot Charts, Excel to HTML conversion, applying conditional formatting, rendering image files from charts/worksheets and exporting to PDF have been resolved. Issues pertaining to the formula calculation engine have also been fixed. We have made a few enhancements in Aspose.Cells for .NET’s web based Grid control. For example, GridWeb now allows you to copy cell formatting (background color, alignment etc.) with data for its copy/paste feature. We also fix some bugs regarding cells selection, data validation and number formatting etc. in GridWeb. We have also improved GridWeb’s MS Ajax feature. We have also fixed a formula calculation issue in the desktop based Grid control (GridDesktop). This release includes few enhanced features and plenty of bug fixes as listed below

What's New in this Release?
The long awaited version of Aspose.Pdf for Java 4.0.0 has been released. This is the first autoported version of Aspose.Pdf for Java. This is a perfect time to rejoice and state that our Java product line is as robust in terms of features as its sibling .NET product line. When we look back into the history of Aspose.Pdf, we find that in July 2011, we introduced the first merged API release version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET. This enabled our customers to use a single component to create and manipulate existing PDF files. Over the years, we have been trying to further strengthen our .NET product and at the same time, we also have been working on porting Aspose.Pdf for .NET features to the Java platform, just to ensure that our Java customers get the same set of features and can play with PDF objects. Now the time has come and we are pleased to present the first release of the autoported Aspose.Pdf for Java. With this release, Aspose.Pdf for Java has become capable to create PDF files from scratch, as well as now it offers the capability to manipulate existing PDF documents; because Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java has been merged into this product and all its classes and enumerations are now present under com.aspose.pdf.facades package. Use this single component to fulfill all your PDF related requirements. This release also introduced a new Document Object Model (DOM). Previously it was introduced in Aspose.Pdf for .NET and to give the same leverage to our Java customers, we have ported this feature to Aspose.Pdf for Java. So now you get the capability to access PDF objects and manipulate them accordingly. Keeping the legacy alive, in first release version, we are providing two Jar files (aspose.pdf-3.3.0.jdk1x.jar and aspose.pdf-new-4.0.0.jar). The intent of providing two jar files is to keep the migration impact as minimal as we can.

We are pleased to announce the release of Aspose.Email for .NET 2.9.0. Did you ever want Aspose.Email to provide support for adding contacts, notes, tasks, calendar and journal items to PST files in the same way that you add messages? This month’s release brings you all these features. We now support adding MapiContact, MapiNote, MapiTask, MapiJournal and MapiCalendar to PST. In this month’s release we’ve also fixed some important issues related to email conversion to MHTML, saving image from a VCard, processing ICS files, creating PSTs with a large number of email messages, saving attachments from message using stream and some exceptions. One-day technical workshop on May 9, will explore how IT professionals can optimize PaaS implementations using the updated WSO2 Stratos 2.0 PaaS foundation

Building a Private or Hybrid PaaS with WSO2 Stratos 2.0
The hands-on technical workshop will examine how cloud architects and developers can use WSO2 Stratos 2.0 to build a PaaS that runs within a datacenter, in an existing cloud environment such as Amazon or Rackspace, or in any combination of the two. Paul will begin with an overview of WSO2 Stratos 2.0, a major update that now supports polyglot environments, such as PHP and MySQL, and can be extended to support multiple cloud models. He will then examine how WSO2 Stratos can be installed, configured and used to enable a multi-tenant PaaS. Additionally, Paul will use demonstrations on the Amazon Elastic Computing Cloud (EC2) and local systems to highlight the benefits of WSO2 Stratos and PaaS in a private, hybrid or public cloud environment.

The software component vendor Text Control recently released version X9 of the word processing component family TX Text Control and the brand new product TX Barcode .NET.
TX Text Control X9 introduces improved headers and footers with odd and even pages. Additionally, a new frame style is available for activated headers and footers. A dividing line has a label indicating the type of the header or footer (even, odd, first page) and the label displays the current section number if the header or footer is connected to the previous header or footer. This gives the user a much better overview of the current document settings and layout. Often inserted in the header or footer, Text Control now supports additional features for showing page numbers which are now MS Word compatible. For each section in the document, page numbers can either be continued from the previous section or can be restarted with a certain start number. Also a new type of page numbers has been implemented to show the total number of pages.
TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms X9 now implements built-in, ready-to-use and customizable context menus. Depending on the area where the right mouse button has been clicked, a menu with standard options for this area is shown. The context menus can be fully customized and in order to provide these ready-to-use context menus, TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms X9 now ships with more than 400 large and small icons that can be used in the applications.
With the release of TX Text Control X9, Microsoft Word Content Controls are now supported and a brand new Table Dialog was implemented. Additionally, TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms X9 now has a control character which shows the anchor position of an anchored object. The MailMerge Class now supports charts and barcodes natively, which is very important for Reporting.
Finally, Text Control released a brand new component for implementing barcodes into business applications. Using TX Barcode .NET for Windows Forms, it is possible to add fast and accurate 1D and 2D barcodes to .NET based applications. TX Barcode .NET for Windows Forms has been specifically designed for the requirements when integrating barcodes into documents, such as invoices.

What's New in this Release?
This month’s release includes a new save format for greater fidelity when saving a document as HTML and improvements to the API. This month’s release contains a brand new save format: HtmlFixed. The HtmlFixed format provides the ability to render a document to HTML while preserving almost all formatting and structure found in the original input document. This is a great development as traditionally Word to HTML conversion does not yield a result that looks exactly like the original document, this is not caused by any issue with the way Aspose.Words converts Word documents to HTML, but is to be expected as due to the differences of the two formats. Not all elements in Word documents can be directly represented in an HTML document and thus these elements may be distorted or removed. Use the newly added ExtrusionEnabled and ShadowEnabled properties on Shape class to detect whether a shape is formatted as 3D (extrusion) or with a shadow. Several fixed paged formats display headings and bookmarks in a tree based display for easy access, for example, the navigation panel found with most PDF viewers. In this release the API to work with outline levels has been improved, an introduction of the standard OutlineOptions class replaces the individual members which were previously used to set outline levels for each SaveOptions class. In addition to this, through the use of the new BookmarksOutlineLevelCollection class you can now set the outline level of individual bookmarks. What’s new in this release?
The long awaited version of Aspose.Cells for Java 7.4.3 has been released. This hotfix is a maintenance release that contains fixes regarding issues reported in earlier versions. In the new release, several important issues have been addressed. For example, issues around formatting cells, rendering PivotTables and charts, rendering Excel files and rendering image files from charts / worksheets have been resolved. The latest version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET (7.9.0) has been released.In earlier release versions, we supported Table, Cell and Row classes under the Aspose.Pdf namespace. These provided the capability to create tables inside new and existing PDF files. Now I am pleased to share that we have added support for the FloatingBox class to the Aspose.Pdf namespace. Now you can add floating boxes when creating new documents as well as when working with existing PDF files. We have also increased the fonts support and along with the capability to use pre-installed fonts from the Windows\Font directory, you can also specify any other folder where custom fonts are present. We have introduced the Underline property to the TextState class and now you can set text formatting to Underline (earlier versions only supported Bold and Italic). Research shows that unit testing is often dropped after the first difficult experience.
New online community will provide support to get through early unit testing challenges.
Tel-Aviv, April 17, 2013 – Typemock, (http://www.typemock.com/) the leading provider and pioneer of easy unit testing solutions, has announced the launch of an online community to assist developers struggling with the early challenges of adopting unit testing in their workplace. We are proud to announce the new release of Aspose.OCR for .NET 1.5.0. In this release we have introduced some improvements and bug fixes along with a new feature. It includes improvement in garbage element detection to increase the recognition accuracy. Rotation and flip parameters are exposed in the public API; the default value is none. Users can specify these parameters to improve recognition speed and accuracy as well. This release also fixed an issue with recognition notification as well as other issues.
