We’ve had a lot of fun but it’s with a certain sadness that Workspaces will close its doors August 30. There’s plenty of time to move your Git repositories and grab your Task lists, and we’ll be processing refunds for all customers, regardless of whether they are current or past customers. For the full announcement read my post here[^]
I have started a new workspace with some code and want to start documenting it.
It works quit nice with the new editor All I am missing is a way for uploading
and inserting images into the text. I only see the Images button in the toolbar that
provides a link capability but there is surely a way to upload and insert an image, right?
Can someone indicate whether this is possible or what the intended workflow is? I am also
not sure on the usual download zip container - since the code is already in the workspace -
should I just use the same link as the Get Zip file button in the workspace or should I download
a separate version and add/upload it into the document?
I found 1 possible solution now. I can simple drag and drop an image into the document.
Is there another more obvious way like clicking a button and inserting the image at the
current cursor position? When I want to delete an image can just select it in the document
and click delete or is there any other action required?
You can disable renew by switching to free plan. The plan you have already bought will continue to be active till the end of paid period, then switch to free.
You also can immediately switch to different plan (e.g. switch from monthly to yearly). If at the moment of choosing new plan you have previous premium plan still expiring, the first charge from new plan will be done after the previous plan expire (e.g. at the end of billing month).
Here is the thing, right now i'm on 2$ monthly plan and I want to keep this plan. I just want to change the credit card to which its charged. If possible i'm also open to move to equivalent yearly plan.
If I move to free plan and then to different plan wo't i charge more?

I haven't directly created workspaces but I've downloaded 3 projects. After I downloaded each one, I was shown a page with a Workspace created for that project which seemed to be some kind of linked Workspace where updates by the author to the original project would get shown. How do I find these workspaces, they're not showing in "My Workspaces"?
Ah, private repo, that takes more efforts to inspect, had to get direct access to the filesystem Anyway, it still seems that you are committing with the old email. It works like this:
- each commit in git has attached few metadata values, among them are comitter email and committer name.
- ::GitMachine checks committer email, if it is known to us, we display the link with user's avatar and the name registered in our system
- if email is not known to us, we do display plain text using committer name taken from commit.
In your repo:
- 4th commit from the top displays avatar properly. It uses your gmail address, so our system displays the known information, ignoring the comitter username from commit. Interestingly, the username you used for this commit is wrong, because it is set to be equal to your email as well.
- the top 3 commits are using the old email (.co.il), with properly configured user name (which is your name, not email), so we display it as we don't have anything better to display.
The solution is to configure your git client correctly, to use the new email, and correct username.
If you do 'git log' from console (not sure how that works in VS), you should see the exact values used for comitter name and emails. The values will already be visible after local git commit, you do not even push the code to us to see the problem.
Is it possible to modify how the tasks show on the home screen of the workspace?
Specifically in my case, I would like to have a list of the current tasks displayed (like a condensed version of what you initially see when you click on the task app), rather than just a number of how many tasks and an activity log.
