There's no such thing as "too many languages".
Pretty much EVERY language ever developed fills a specific perceived need. When you get right down to it, it all results in binary code. You're pretty much restricted to using the language(s) required to do the job. Period. End of discussion.

So it goes from express train to pony express as a fallback. That's really useful.
I suppose, with a 60m range, I could put an SBC on the lawn mower and use three bits:
forward
left
right
to control it. Assuming 3 seconds is sufficient response time on a highly customized direct to the hardware software to read packets of just 3 bits at a time. Hope it doesn't get out of sync!
