When you sit down to use a microsoft tool (VS, word, excel, etc. -- even notepad) you are NOT working as a part of a team; you are working as an individual.
ms is spending so much time and effort to make its tools "great for teamwork!", without paying a blind bit of attention to the fact that That Is Not How They Are Used!
How often do you "interact with the team" when writing code, editing a document, filling out a spreadsheet, fiddling with a presentation, etc?
Answer: You Don't! The things you do with ms tools are the things you do on your own -- preferably without any distraction from "the team".
This satya chap really doesn't have -- and never has had -- a f***ing clue what working life is for 99% of people, or what those people need from software apps. He's taken windows from being the most versatile OS on the planet to the most annoying, and ms office from being the most functional and useful software on the planet to the most egregious and time-wasting.

With tips like using the isEmpty-call, because "It may also be more computationally efficient". That already implies that it also may not, and for most code the difference is hardly noticeable. Spending money on that is money burnt.

Damnit, I gave in and looked it up: The two-million-dollar comma[^].
Of course, when the article writer says "use a pair of commas to set off interrupting words, phrases, or clauses", what he means is "parenthesise" -- I don't criticise people over vocabulary, but it's a lot less typing (and easier to use in a sentence), if you want to talk about it with someone else.
This is one of the main reasons why all punctuation (except a full-stop at the end of each paragraph) is frowned upon in documents for courts in the UK; it forces lawyers to phrase their text very carefully.

A bit of a dick said: it’s theoretically possible to twist time into a loop that would allow for time travel into the past.
It's also theoretically possible to build a steam train that can travel to other galaxies at just under the speed of light (I did the Maths years ago).
This is your typical bit of bit-of-a-dick theoretical Physics, which follows logic that says "If time is involved in acceleration, and F=Ma, then changing the force, the direction, and the mass changes time!"
Wow! So all you have to do is change values of the force, the mass, and the direction until time goes into the negative!
And it's true: If you enter impossible numbers for force, mass, and direction into the equations, the value of the time variable can go into the negative.
So is he a genius, or a bit of a dick?
Time will tell.
... Or it did already, or it will have might already been did, or... Whatever. I give in.
If you also want to engage in a bit of bit-of-a-dick theoretical Physics, there is only one rule:
1. Use Occam's Razor frequently, indiscriminately, and incorrectly.
Take the intergalactic steam train; I had to slice off a few "inconvenient" complications, e.g.
• The mechanics of a train do not allow it to accelerate indefinitely; stuff will break.
• Where does all the water and the coal come from?
• The amount of water and coal required means that the train would never even be able to move.
• Um, don't trains need rails, or something?
So happily hack away anything that makes utter nonsense of your theory, and get famous!
