Hi Thanks for your awesome code. I didn't understand many of your functions that you use in hack dialog, because i usually use C# for programming. Can you tell me how can i write these function in c#. I mean those functions that use memory management.

This will not work for online games, since this kind of data is retrieved and maintained at the server. When the game or server quickly discovers that there is an error with your data your connection with the game server (or connection to other pc if doing a LAN game) will be terminated and in some cases your account will be terminated too for cheating. For a game like Battlefield that means you would have to buy a new copy of the game.

I've used Artmoney, TSearch, Cheat Engine, Game Hack, and several other windows memory finder tools but this tool stumped me.
The process list does not show every process running (I tried to see if it would find notepad, but it doesn't).
Also, when I search for a value it returns and said it found x number. But where is the result being displayed? How do I continue to search again for a changed values? I'm just confused with the GUI layout.
I haven't looked at the source code yet, but I've always been curious how one go about writing a memory finder tool.
Thanks for the insight! Do you have any plans to update this tool?
Also, I wonder if a memory finder tool written in 64-bit would improve it's search time since you could literally fit most program into a 64-bit memory (this would save on slow disk swapping) -- provided you have enough free RAM of course. Artmoney and TSearch have issues under Windows x64 (you can do two searches but then it'll give you an error and wipes out your search results).

OH YEAH I collected some fine old games, after a decade still they are fun to me Of course sometimes they need a little improvement
> Maybe it already exists, but I don't know about it.
Yes, Vladislav, it does, it's name is also Game Wizard. Really does its task quite well. It's native DOS. I don't remember a name of it's designer but he did good job, if the G.W. of yours is at least equally effective, you can say also you did well
So I am going to test it thoroughly

I have no idea why this article is getting such a poor rating but I for one think the code is excellent. The article itself though, is lack of detailed description, maybe the author should consider putting some code snippet and explanation on how is his(her) idea implemented next time, anyway, again, the idea is excellent, the tool is quite useful, I gave my 5.

those folks who don't want to cheat games just do not have to use such software i.m.h.o. some little improvements only increase the pleasure of gameplay i was searching for the "game wizard", a previously excellent DOS program to modify memory, but i think this one here would also work well
anyway, i can't download the file right now

Voting an article does not mean voting a program, I suppose.

I've been looking for a program like this(your new ?spinoff? of GameWizard) ever since I was forced to upgrade to Win98, and discovered I wouldn't be able to use the old GameWizard anymore, for a long time!
Therefore, I was overjoyed to see you had created this new version- and want to extend my extreme thanks to you for the great service you have done for the world by creating this program, BUT....
I (and it would appear not Just I) could use a little help with an error message I get every time as soon as I try to run it!
In a DOS window, it'll say "A device attached to the system is not functioning", and in Win98, a small "Error Starting Program" ! DialogBox will appear, saying, and I quote, "The PSAPI.DLL file is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:_stricmp."
Please HELP!! Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated- I'd sure like the opportunity to enjoy what I'm hoping will otherwise be a/your wonderful program!
Thank you!!

Cheating can give you freedom to mess around with the gaming environment once you've finished the game. Think of the cheats for Vice City! Although they give you great abilities and weird out the whole game, you can only get infinite ammo from being the whole thing.
Thus spake the master programmer: "It is time for you to leave."

But what about a case, when cheating itself gives fun? After all we are talking about computer games, not interviews for work
Example... I don't mean you should start every Civilization session with 30k $, but doing it once just gives you more chances when playing toughest level... and you can figure out the difference between Emperor and Chieftain well I never did that anyway but I have some feeling that even a lot of money under Emperor still doesn't mean 100% probability of win
Generally I don't play games being fully equipped and untouchable, I just remove some annoying cases. That's my point. If I have a shortage of a few items to finish something on which I spent a lot of time, and there is no possibility to obtain them, why not? Who said that game designer matched my wishes exactly?
