Then you would be correct. It isn't a Google map.
mbaocha wrote: What Map is that?
It is a Microsoft MapPoint map.

No, I'm a real live person. But thank you for enquiring.

4.5 years, 19,000kms from home, and I still miss the London pubs. Used to work in an office building just where Tottenham Court Road hits Euston Road... can still picture it in my mind (is that sad, or what?).
There was a pub just on the eastern side of Regents Park where I watch the 1999 Rugby World Cup while skiving from work. Distinctly (yeah, right...) remember on my last day at work watching the England v Fiji game (101 v 11, the score was...), them stumbling back to the office to mumble some incoherent leaving speech.
Much like this post.
Hmm, don't know where I'm goig with, but hope you all have a good time in London. I'll be having a BBQ down on the beach on Sunday while you are all ensconsed in a fuggy pub. Lucky gits...

Cheers,
Jon

Now there I can help! There's an awesome Indian restaurant between Bayswater and Portebello called Kahns. Also, it's not too far from Baker St for The Globe.

Damn, no, and I don't live in Bayswater anymore to run down the road and find out.
Hmmm... turn left out of Bayswater Station (district / circle), walk across the first set of traffic lights, down passed Whiteleys Shopping Centre (size of Harrods). At the next junction turn left again, and walk a couple of hundred meters - it's on the left.
I'll try to do better in the morning - supper is burning!

I can't find anything on it. Either we should all meet at Bayswater Tube Station (if we haven't organised sightseeing for the afternoon), or find somewhere else.
BTW - I won't be wearing my CP shirt, as it'll be covered by my jackets in this cold weather. This means it's available to attract other CPian's by putting it somewhere visible at the Globe, etc .

Have we got a headcount yet? I may 'pop' by for a quick intro or I know I'll regret missing this.

Ha ha! Ok then, How will I recognise everyone? Maybe we should agree to wear some sort of identifing item, like a rose in the lapel, or a bob T-shirt( too cold ).

I'll meet you guys at the Globe (cut straight to the alcohol!), but I don't want to look like a fish out of water, so I'll be nice to know who to look for instead of going up to random strangers!

When entering, go up on a table and shout three times "Brotherhood of Bob, I'm coming in". We should then be able to recognize you

Hi Colin,
Well, just a couple of days to go, and none of the polls seem completely conclusive. It seems to me that someone's going to have to make the decisions, and you've put by far the most work into this and should probably get that honour .
So, what are we doing on Saturday? (Looks like rain unfortunately )

Well, the eating and drinking times are currently at 50% for 17:00 (Eating) & 18:30 (Drinking) with the other choices lagging. So that looks good.
The eating is currently Indian out front and American a close second.
Anyway, I'll give everyone till 22:00 GMT (23:00 CET) to get the final votes in and I'll conclude the polls so that a final choice can be made.
To everyone: If you've not expressed an opinion about when and where you would like to eat you've all got until this evening to let it be known!
Megan: Is this commanding enough?

*smacks lips* I voted Chinese, but Indian is just as excellent!

Not bad for a first attempt
Any ideas on what we're going to do during the afternoon? I see you've got a poll going for lunch, we'll (hubby and I...) probably miss that, but any touristy stuff in the afternoon will be great! Such a shame it looks like rain - there goes the boat trip idea.

Yes, I have been kind of lax on that area. A number of ideas have been put forward: British Museum, V&A, Wallace Collection, Tate (Modern) Science Museum and so on.
I'll put a poll together. (I feel like California with all these polls)
