AFAIK, OLED is not the same "thing" as a LCD with LED backlight.

That's my point. What they call LED TVs are just LCD TVs with an LCD backlight.
But nowmthey are actually selling real LED TVs

That seems silly. They should at least put an LED in the dang thing if they are going to call it an LED TV.
Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet.
