My first C class used Whitesmith's C on a VAX 11 , VAX/VMS , in 1986.

My first C program was on a DEC MicroVax then I did a job on a PDP-11/23. The guy that engineered the system got it on closeout I guess and figured it had enough horse power to run a water treatment plant...it didn't.

QuestionSpecial Events on the calendar we should markadminChris Maunder7 Apr '13 - 15:23
I've just been rejigging the code that loads the special logos for special events and got to thinking about which events we really should mark. Obviously Present Day, Hangover Day, Flower Day, Chocolate Day, CodeProject's Birthday, and Talk Like A Pirate Day. Obviously. But what others would you like to see?
cheers,
Chris Maunder

The day we make first contact, the day Code Project went live, the abolition of slavery, Jonas Salk day, the day we made first moon contact (perhaps both manned and unmanned, though I expect DD will protest the former), and women's suffrage (e.g., since the US is the center of the universe, you may as well pick August 18th).
