You totally missed his point, he was asking for permission, not for help. Check his other thread below.

So where should I post it...

If it is just an app that loads CP you could write an article on it (after it is done, of course) but like .\\\axx was saying in another post anything else you should check with Chris. But asking for help building an app is generally not done in The Lounge. Check the links on your page to see which forum fits the best as there are many possibilities on CP. Good Luck.

Ignore the reply which asked you to post it elsewhere. It's completely ridiculous, and this post is perfectly acceptable in the lounge.

I think if you use the name CodeProject you'd need permission from Chris et al. as it is trademarked, I believe (at least there's something that looks like the registered trademark sign after the logo - my eyes are too old to make it out - it could just be a UFO)

Try to get permission by posting in Site Suggestions.
I think it would be more appropriate place to post it.

To meet my dream, CP needs to expose their API through which my/our app will communicate with CP's db

Now that may create some problem

Posted this about 16 hours ago and it was ignored. Maybe it was due to the timing of the post or just maybe the content didn't interest anyone. So here it is once again.
Bits DuJour[^] has IsoBuster[^] going for 50% for the next 19 hours 50 odd minutes (obviously this is now 3 hours 30 minutes).
I've owned this for at least the last 5 years and find it to be a life saver on occasions. Might be worth getting if you have $20.00 lying around and may have a need for data recovery software sometime in the future.
I get nothing for this, just a satisfied end user.

I followed the link - but there's no mention of 50% off...
It's one of those software things that I'm sure I'll regret not buying if I need it

Did you click the IsoBuster or the Bits DuJour link?
IsoBuster link goes to site so you can see all about the application.
Bits DuJour link goes to the site with the 50% off. If it isn't shown directly, look along the bottom and click on the IsoBuster button.

You? Never. I reckon any spare $20 notes you have would be put to better use buying some cold beer.
If there is one thing more dangerous than getting between a bear and her cubs it's getting between my wife and her chocolate.

Even crap beer costs twice that over here.

You mean Fosters and XXX? In 2005 we stayed with the outlaws in Adelaide. Christmas morning was really hot and b-i-l's son knew a liquor store nearby which was open and we got two cases of James Boag's Premium. We can get it here in the UK. Expensive, but worth it. Yum, yum!

Haven't seen Fosters on sale anywhere this century. XXXX Gold (Mid Strength) is < $40.00 but pretty much all full strength beer is > $40.00.

Check and see if you can get Coopers Sparkling Ale (it ain't sparkling at all) over there. Around $55.00 per case over here, but best beer going around.
