I didn't know a .243 could do that. The target is 1/2" steel, as evidenced by the welding magnet hanging on it. The bullets were 100 gr. soft points. I wonder what hard points would do?

I'm really surprised by this, Mike. I'm used to shooting tin cans and paper targets with a .243, and I know that without using armor-piercing ammo in my AK-47, it can't do this. It seems I've been underestimating my favorite caliber for a very long time. Whew! That should be enough to take down most anything I want to bring to the table, including most small commuter automobiles...
