Hi all together
After I asked our beloved CP staff if there will be a meetup in the Switzerland area, too, I got offered to organize one as country lead.
Now that I know that there are not too many members from switzerland in here comes my question:
Who of you guys may wants to join in in a meetup, probably around June 27th August 31st ?
I'll look for a place to have the meetup, probably in Zug, Rotkreuz, Zurich or Lucerne depending on the attendees preferences.
However, reply here if you are ready to join in.
Note: If there is no meetup in your country and you can make it to switzerland that day you are invited, too.

Will there be Sauerkraut und Bratwurst?
I hope not, because German sausage is the wurst!
Sorry, I'll get my coat...

Frankfurter Wurst is the ultimate german wurst.
Ever tried Cervelat[^]?

Nope - looks good (unless there is actually brain in it; French: cervelle = brain)

That would be great - I actually know just two other active Swiss members (vonb who does the Swiss weather report from time to time and Nicholas Marty).
For your information about the possible locations:
I preassume you know where Zurich is, right?
Zug is half an hour away from Zurich (by train).
Rotkreuz is 45 mins away from Zurich, and lucerne/Luzern is an hour travelling time away from Zurich (all by train).
Emailed the hamsters to get a list of Swiss/German/Wherever members.

I heard it is somewhere in Switzerland... just kidding.
Maybe Mister Pallini could join us as well.

You want to know todays weather: hot and nice. Anyway replied it could be fine if no other obligations that date.. (2 hours from here by car to Luzern/Rotkreuz)

I was going to suggest that you put the "I'll come" list in "get togethers" rather than the lounge - then I saw you had done it already. Might be an idea to point this post at that one though, so you only have the one list and it doesn't get scrolled off screen so quickly...
Can't you get the hamsters to provide a list of Swiss / German members? An email might get a better response than a general "wanna come" in the lounge.

Already emailed Sean back, had the same thought.

Gonna do that, too.

If I am free on that date I could join, Rotkreuz would be the best place for me, coming from Lugano area.

Watch out - I changed the date to August 31st.

Oh, so sorry but it won't work. It's the end of my first week of hollidays, and plan is to go to Amsterdam at that time (already dreaming at this hour..)

If it's somewhere RyanAir fly to then it'll probably be cheaper than getting to the North East for the British one.

RyanAir flies to Zurich Airport Basel, all the other locations are maximum 3 hours travelling time away from Zurich Basel.

RyanAir flies to Basel: or more likely "close to Basel" - like Rome, or Sydney...

They fly Dublin-Basel, actually. I was surprised too.

What do they advertise it as? London-Moscow?

Only if they wear nappies, don't eat or drink, can stand for a couple of hours, and bring their own air. But probably only 100ml of that or it'll be taken away by airport security...

I could pick you up in Basel, or even in what Ryan Air calls "Karlsruhe" (=Baden-Baden in reality). But I am not sure I can attend, so first waiting for the lieu and date.

Or Tuesday.
