I was listening to the radio 1 on the way home the other day, and they did this feature where people would text in a song request, and after 30 seconds they would play whatever 3 songs arrived next. [I was going to text in "tenacious D - F*** her gently" just to see if they'd play that at 5.30 in the afternoon, but being an inept fool who thinks phones should be for phone calls and nothing else, it takes me longer than 30 seconds to type tenacious on a phone]
I thought this was a nice idea, and a chance to hear something aside from all that usual pop rubbish.
As I waited in anticipation the "DJ" announced that the 30 seconds was up, and the next text to arrive was.....
JLS - Beat again
For frick's sake. It's on the goddam playlist[^]. They play this song about 20 times a day already. Why oh why oh why did you actually bother working your fingers to text that in. You had a chance to hear something really out there, something you hadn't heard for ages, something good, anything in the world that you could possible want, and you choose this...
I have now moved to Sweden for love (awwww).
If you're in Scandinavia and want an MVP on the payroll (or happy with a remote worker), or need cotract work done, give me a job! http://cv.imcsoft.co.uk/[^]
Get an iPhone, it will auto-correct tenacious for you - of course it would also auto-correct the rest of your sentence, and often against your preference/desire. So you'd have had a tough time getting the song name right with an iPhone too I guess.
With whatever naff version of the theme tune some saddo has recorded this week!
Yeah - that's what I'm doing 5:30PM Mon to Fri as well
Dave BTW, in software, hope and pray is not a viable strategy. (Luc Pattyn) Visual Basic is not used by normal people so we're not covering it here. (Uncyclopedia) Why are you using VB6? Do you hate yourself? (Christian Graus)
