This[^] just happened two highway exits (roughly a mile and a half) away from where I work.
Another video.[^]

Horrible to see.
However, was the guy recording the second video also driving his own vehicle at the same time. It looked like it when he turned later in the video and there was a red vehicle in front of him and I thought he was going to catch it!

I moved to Cincinnati in June from Illinois, and people here are terrible drivers in any sort of bad conditions. The first time it rained hard, I saw probably three times as many accidents on my drive home compared to normal. This accident helps reinforce my opinion.

I would have thought the average bad-weather-driver in Cincinnati would be better than here in San Diego, but I think three times the number of accidents is about on par with what we see here when it rains.
The first time it rains in the fall is very bad. We can have as much as 4-6 months without a drop of rain, so once it happens people drive too fast or too slow or their wiper blades are stuck to the windshield. Not to mention the roads are slick as glass at the first rain.
When we get snow in the nearby mountains, people flock up there to experience it. I think you can imagine what that leads to. It's not like we use winter tires out here and people (including me) tend to wear their tires all the way down.

I've been in Cincy for 8 years, and I've never understood why people seem to collectively forget how to drive when it rains here. It's not like it doesn't rain a lot either. They have plenty of chances to practice.

Wow, that's unfortunate... was this during rush hour or something? ...how the heck do that many cars get involved, the weather doesn't seem that bad, you'd expect this in zero visibility conditions but it doesn't appear to be that bad (weather-wise).

Albert Holguin wrote: was this during rush hour or something? No, it was late morning, around 11AM. The weather was kinda weird. There had been some snow flurries for a little while, then the snow suddenly started coming down really hard for about 30-45 minutes. Now, the skies are blue with a few clouds and it has been this way for the past few hours.

Must just be that side of town too. This side has been sunny (but bloody cold) all day.

I assume you are on the east side...? I live on the east side down near Hyde Park, but I work up here right off of Winton and 275.

I lived around that area when I first moved to the city (Forest Park), then moved to Kenwood. I work just off I-71 in Bond Hill.

OT: Have you ever been to The Pub in Rookwood?

Yeah, The Pub is great. They have Boddingtons on tap. Or at least they did the last time I was there.

Never mind, saw from other posts that this was in Cincinnati.

I'm kind of surprised that it doesn't occur more often, given that fact that car to car spacing is usually in inches instead of car lengths.
