How many people here would be interested in setting up an 'Electronics Project', where one could find all sorts of information on Arduino, setting up a 'Mad Scientists Lab'  , creating electronic devices, software related to electronics, and so on and so forth?

You assume of course, that one could even find this post in the sea of spam that is the Lounge this weekend...but yeah, I love tinkering with my Arduino.
Luckily for me, I chose to take Intro to Robotics the semester they decided to switch to Arduino, so I can do all to electrical stuff at home before lab / after lab if time runs out.

I know the pointy bit goes in my opponent, everyone know that. I just can't persude the tiny bits to stick together no matter how much I torture them with fire. I think the whole thing is suspiciously like magic. I'll stay were I am and guard the maidens instead

It's not magic, though I know what you mean. It's a skill, and like any other it has to be learnt.
Herself taught me the basics (she used to be a RF Tech) and I picked it up slowly because it is all a bit arcane. Practice helps though!

Depends how big a thing you intend and how collaborative you want to be I suppose. If you expand as far as bringing in boxes like the Mele A2000 then I start to get interested. Those things have accessible GPUs, can run a pretty full OS and have good connectivity. Distributed OpenCL super computer constructed from a hierarchy of sub $80 boxes anyone?

The 'and so on and so forth' part indicates that anything related to electronics goes. The Raspberry PI falls into that category.
