I'm trying to run ARC Welder in the Chrome browser, and evidently I need to have a "APK" to choose, which I presume is some component, and so I need to download is somewhere. I figure the folks here know the best one to download.

I just looked up Arc Welder and it is an add in to run Android apps in chrome. So you just need to select the app that you want to run.

You don't need to convince me! I'm in on the plan to inflate their far too fragile egos to the point of total delusion and let them deal with the whole mess. Heavy lifting? Not my job anymore. Heavy thinking? Also not my problem anymore. Dirty or dangerous jobs? God forbid! And while you are at it, take that gun over there and send the hordes of Mordor home when they come to knock at the door.
Very evil, but it's almost too easy. They actually want to believe 'their own' propaganda and it's far too late for them when they finally notice where it leads them. But I'm also smart enough to stay away from the monster I help to create.

Anybody here used Elasticsearch?
Did you find it useful? Was there anything that it did well, and conversely didn't do well?
We are looking into it for dashboard/analytic types of reporting.

Yes, we use Kibana which makes use of Elastisarch.
We use it for our logs and I am pretty impressed with it - once you are used to the interface it's fairly straightforward tracking down exceptions in logs.
I did not have any part in setting it up but just use it to search for errors in logs on different servers.
I think the hard work is in setting it up.

Imperial Triumphant - Rotted Futures[^]
I recently read an interview with Imperial Triumphant on my Facebook feed.
Before that I never heard of the band, but they were mentioned with Oranssi Pazuzu, currently one of my favorite black metal bands so that got my attention.
They're an avant-garde metal band from New York and they'll be releasing a new album somewhere in 2020.
Apparently, they've been active since 2005, but for some reason did not appear on my radar until now.
I checked out their previous album and it's awesome, the opening track starts with trumpets, which are featured throughout the track.
This song is from their upcoming album, which I'm now looking forward to!
Even for metal standards this isn't easy listening, so not for the faint of heart

I try to keep a minimum of negative energy in my life. I don't glorify negative energy like "most" death/black metal music does.

Neither do I.
I don't believe in demons and that kind of stuff, maybe you do.
To me, it's just a cool theme, like dinosaurs and sci-fi, and the aggressiveness (or whatever you'd call it) in the music gives me energy
And in this particular case, the musicianship is awesome and also gives me energy and inspiration
The lyrics may be about death and decay, but who understands those?
On a side note, when a band name or title contains a cool word, like Pazuzu, I usually look it up and learn a thing or two about mythology or Lord of the Rings 
So I don't know what negative energy you're talking about.
Of course everyone experiences music differently, like my mom who listens to lyrics and didn't know Queen had a drummer

On a 'slight' tangent, BBC 6Music has been on fire for the last couple of days - reliving the best of Glastonbury, with a sprinkling of some other great classics. Sometimes, it's nice to let someone else to the leg-work, rather than having to pick your own tracks. And, right now they are picking a lot of great tracks.
My favorite from yesterday was Foo Fighters doing a cover of Band On The Run.

I take it that's a radio station?
I rarely listen to the radio, basically only during short car rides and only to two stations, Slam (mostly dance) and Radio 4 (classical).
Sometimes I just put on some random YouTube song and let it play whatever comes next, I guess that's pretty much the same thing.
Got some awesome tracks that way.

6Music is one of the few Radio stations I can listen to for any length of time - and, since lock-down, I've found it good to have some 'background noise' without having to put too much effort into it! Most of the presenters are not too annoying either! Also, as it's the BBC, there are no annoying (and repeated) ads.
Most other stations don't have much variety and, (no matter what genre or era), that can wear me down over an 8-hour working day. I can't really be playing YouTube during working hours, (well technically I could - very easily), as I wouldn't get any work done. I do have the odd YouTube AutoPlay blast at the weekend though.
