It's easily done. A chap I worked with was arranging a party one weekend and one of the girls in the team was arranging something else to do with it. He sent her a text making some comment which in its context was innocent enough but he sent it to his wife by mistake. A few minutes later he got a reply "I DONT KNOW WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE TEXTING BUT THIS IS YOUR WIFE." He copped it when he got home. It's taken days for the snow to gradually thaw here but that's brief compared to the time she put him in the doghouse and exposed him to Life In The Freezer.
Be careful what you write and double-check where it's going.
