Cheers, they look good - you can imagine why hundreds of years ago people looked up at natural phenomena and imagined that the gods were at work!

My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table. My wife asked,' Do you know her?' 'Yes,' I sighed, 'She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since.' 'My God!' says my wife, 'Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?'

Know that feeling. My 20 year is coming up soon in 3 years. The 10 year was interesting seeing people who were successful in life so far, and who weren't. It was kind of an eye opener.

How many people showed up for your 10y? Mine's coming up next year, but I don't know if I want to take the time to go or not...

Out of about 500 graduated seniors in my high school class, probably a good 80-90% showed up. Curious about the 20 year.

That's how my dad usually feels about his. Most of his friends from high school have either died or are in prison. He went to a really rough high school when he was a kid. Most people in his class don't have any good success stories about their life like he does.

I don't have any problems like that with my school, mostly I just don't care about my classmates. I made no effort to keep up with them after graduation and never really regretted it.

Same thing here. I do have a few friends I keep up with over the years. We did time in college together, so that kept everyone up to date on the latest happenings.

That's a few more people than I've kept in touch with. At times I'm too much a recluse for my own good.

Yeah, it's just like two or three people that I've kept in touch with and it's been a while now.

Since then (20 years) I have hardly encountered any school acquaintances except my housemate Colin. I attribute this to our transcendence of mere humanism and through attenuated mortality outliving all the other shadow people we 'shared' school with.
