My son went through a Fireman Sam phase (still can't get the song out of my head).
He's now onto Shaun the Sheep (hilarious), Phinneas and Ferb, and Kipper (I don't know what he finds so funny about this one, must be subliminal).
Maybe you can hook him up with some of these if you can't find FS anywhere.

His secondary preferences right now are Caillou, Noddy, Sesame Street, Bob the Builder, and Barney.
Interestingly, I've managed to get him interested in He-man and the Masters of the Universe too. He does not always watch that, but once in a while he likes to sit and watch with me. Good thing about that is I can watch that too

Sacrilege!
You should only ever watch the original stop motion series voiced by John Alderton, the CGI stuff is pap in comparison - especially that quasi-Australian gimp! (no offense to Australians - you watch it, you'd be as offended by that 'Aussie' as I was!)
It is strange that Sarah and James wander around Pontypandy completely unsupervised though...what's up with Welsh social services?
Also suspect that Norman's dad isn't around, and Sam is the only red-headed guy in town....just sayin'...

In my household, Fireman Sam was soon cast aside for Postman Pat and Bob the Builder.
... Then came the Spongebob months.
... I don't want to talk about it...

Ah, Bob's another one that he gets a fancy for off-and-on. It's kinda inconsistent what his preference of the moment is at any time. But with Sam, it's an always-ready-to-watch situation.

I would have answered your question if I knew the answer, but I don't

Your question about the "web service" is too general, someone has to read you a whole C# web development textbook. I suggest you read such book yourself and ask more specific questions here (in the forum).

I don't know. I'm not going to bother going into the web development forum and reading your question.
But I can tell you that if you haven't received any replies, it's mostly because you have failed to comply with one or more of the points specified in the guidelines (The "how to get an answer" thing).

If you ask an easy question, you will be harshly berated for not googling or for cheating your employer. If you ask a hard question, no one knows the answer. So the trick is to seek a balance, don't ask something that the CP-elite thinks is google-able, but also don't ask a question beyond their answering ability!

Wise words, as always, Sri Nishant,
But I think there may be cases where some questions are unanswered for other reasons. If I ask a question, and no one responds : personally I would assume that ... in the absence of feedback that it was a "stupid," or "mis-directed" question ... or that it was such a fundamental question that it pointed to my needing to go back to "kindergarten" ... that the question I asked just did not "resonate" with other CP members experience or interests at this time.
And then I would try to consider how the absence of a response might be an indicator of something I had missed, and flagellate myself tenderly about that.
best, Bill
"Many : not conversant with mathematical studies, imagine that because it [the Analytical Engine] is to give results in numerical notation, its processes must consequently be arithmetical, numerical, rather than algebraical and analytical. This is an error. The engine can arrange and combine numerical quantities as if they were letters or any other general symbols; and it fact it might bring out its results in algebraical notation, were provisions made accordingly." routines to play Open Office Impress files other than Open Office Impress? There is an open source program I would consider adding this functionality to, but do not want to include all of Impress just to play the files (slide show).
Any ideas?

PowerPoint Viewer?
If you are looking to programatically play a slideshow, you could probably just run the EXE with the path to the slide show file as an argument.

I am looking to have the program determine which slide to show. Would be for song service at church. They have several products both commerical and free but they only support Power Point.

Maybe this is where the idea of a big dome sealing off a town in The Simpsons came from
|
|

I'm pretty sure towns covered with domes is a common sci-fi theme. I've personally noticed it also in "The Truman Show" and "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman". That reminds me, I need to finish watching some episodes. Excuse me, I'm going to be busy for the next 48 hours...
