Well I've resigned and I'm leaving the Solomons.

So maybe you could move here (as a replacement for me) and learn to swim and dive while you're here.
Solomons is one of the Top 5 diving destinations in the world and the #1 wreck diving destination - there's a LOT of WWII metal around here.

Most things here are pretty primitive but there are some top-botch diving operations who are good at teaching.

Plus if you can't dive you can still buy super fresh Crayfish (i.e. Lobster) for around US$5 a pound from the market (even cheaper out in the provinces).
Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.
