Re: Apple is granted a patent on the rectangle! Jon Nethercott 8 Nov '12 - 22:14
I see from the patent that it took 15 "inventors" to come up with the idea of the rectangle.   Sounds like there might be a "how many Apple employees does it take to change a light bulb" joke there somewhere... Jon CodeWrite Sign In·View Thread·Permalink

Won't they get in trouble with Miocrosoft because of this?   ```Class: CGDIRoundRect Class that draws a rounded rectangle, using Windows API GDI calls.   A rounded rectangle is a region whose location is determined by the Left, Top, Right and Bottom properties of this class. The angles of the corners of the rectangle are always drawn at 90 degrees. The corners of the rectangle are rounded off based on the value of the Height and Width properties. The routines in this class allow you to draw the rounded rectangle by calling the Windows API RoundRect function.```   Pretty sure GDI is older than the iPad. The small taste at The Beer Factory was great, the bottles are now in the freezer getting good and cold. I'm currently drinking some crap the bloke behind the counter gave me to try.   I initially asked him to connect one of their kegs up so I could fill my remaining bottles (I offered to pay, though last year the other bloke wouldn't take any cash) he reckoned he didn't have any. So the couple of bottles were compensation. Michael Martin Australia   "I controlled my laughter and simple said "No,I am very busy,so I can't write any code for you". If you think the area over the kidneys tickles, wait till you have a chest piece done. I'm two thirds through a custom Odin, Hugin, Munin, Geri and Freki and both the sternum and collar bone areas do more than tickle. The bruises that came up on my collar bones, (from my 3 hour session last Friday), just seem to have faded away now...   Note to self, learn to spell and remember to proof read... ahem[/edit] Rhys   "If you ever start taking things too seriously, just remember that we are talking monkeys on an organic spaceship flying through the Universe" Sign In·View Thread·Permalink

Re: Since giving up the Evil Weed.. Rhys Gravell 8 Nov '12 - 22:48
Sore at the end as there's a lot of black coverage in there which makes it somewhat akin to raw meat after 4 hours, (I sat for 5 in total that day), but other than that not so bad.   The left leg is designed as a full leg 'sleeve' with the Dragon Koi leaping, a tiger going down my thigh, (head toward the Koi), with cherry blossom and lotus, but I've been putting my next session on that off a bit as it'll be getting that lotus done on and around my kneecap and I just know that is going to sting!   The chest piece is booked in to be finished on 30th of this month as there's only the filling of Geri, Freki, Hugin, Munin and any spots we want to tidy left. That was my 40th birthday present to me as it should be healed for the day, (mid December).   After that, tidy and finish up the right lower leg pieces, (hopefully by March/April time), then back to my left leg... busy, busy, busy! Babylon Toolbar virang_21 8 Nov '12 - 14:32
Few days ago I was installing a photo printing software (freeware) on my machine and during installation I noticed that it was asking for installing Babylon toolbar (The piece of crap that highjack your search engines in browsers) so I deselected it as I knew how nasty it is to remove later. Even though I asked not to install it it ended up on my system and infected IE/FF/Crome/Registry . Took me a while to get rid of it.   I think the people / company who wrote this piece of crap should be prosecuted. There may be millions of not so savvy users who fall pray to this nasty crapware/hijacker.
