the enterprise market is still too big, too important, and too entrenched with Microsoft - and it will cost them too much to migrate all their apps over.

So many people miss this point. They see flashy new flashy devices and they think something will just switch over in enterprises.

IMO MS is just playing the safe game with this OS. They do not expect a large enterprise market on it and are just hoping for a "decent" consumer market. In 2 years time the enterprise markets will be looking to upgrade again.... Hmmmm. With that it seems MS timing is impeccable.
Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet.

I have decided to leave this site for several days due to some recent events. I do not know when I will return, or if.

Farewell.
I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image.

Going by what you wrote it sounds as if you'll be gone for "several days", whatever that may mean to you.
Whatever it was that made you come to this decision, I hope you'll recover soon and will rejoin us here on CP!

Best,

Manfred

At times it gets frustrating and a short leave is nice, but if it's gotten bad enough you need to leave permanently take care and another time.

Good luck to you though I've never been sure of what on earth can get someone so pissed off they'd leave forever.
