You do realize that is a challenge to some people, don't you?
And you have noticed the red flag in the bottom right, I assume?
And no, I haven't pressed it
If you get an email telling you that you can catch Swine Flu from tinned pork then just delete it. It's Spam.

'No voting in the forums' has been my personal policy since the beginning of the year. I didn't like the way I was behaving with it.
Frankly, the tone has improved a lot since Chris turned off the voting. The locker-room style rep-points comparisons have largely gone away as well.
It like it too.

I would have done but you'd lose a sh*t load of points if anyone did that now.
This place is boring without the points. Just elephanting boring. No spice. No confrontation. Boring.

I live for reputation points. Just kidding. Really, don't you think this obsessions is kind of silly?

It's not about the points themselves but rather what they imply when used. Points, of themselves, don't mean anything: you can't spend them or eat them but they make conversations fun. This place is hollow and fun-free without them.

I think the masses, including myself, would rather not debate on emotions derived from votes. Would you not agree that if you were in a passionate debate and all you were getting was down-votes, wouldn't you get frustrated and eventually quit.
How is that a healthy and "fun" debate or conversation? I should be able to express my opinions here, within reason, and not be penalized for saying something someone disagrees with.
It took me a few weeks, but I like the no voting in the Lounge.

Here's a fun Gedankenexperiment for you. Imagine you're in a conversation at a party and there were little 'thumbs up' and 'thumbs down' buttons you could push for every comment someone made. How would that change the dynamics of the party? Would it be 'fun'? Would it be healthy? Would it contribute to the discourse, or inhibit it?
Words are powerful and can be used with far greater subtlety than binary approval or disapproval. As I used to tell my 4 year old.... "use your words" .
