I'll f***ing bet they couldn't.
The saddest thing is that he won't see the effect that his death will have on the b@st@rds.

Anybody using this tool?
Any good reason I should or shouldn't use version 1.x or 2.x? The comparisons page showed me lots of differences but Sunday morning probably wasn't the best time to try and get the brain working.

not actually using, that's only because my work b/berry has a password safe on it. I'd use V2 Keypass, since it will run on anything I have (>= .NET 2.0), and I may be able to sync it with iphone version
[edit] it also doesnt seem to have any flaws in encryption/methodology, unlike my b/berry [/edit]

I've been using KeePass for years, and I've also contributed to the 1.x version, so perhaps I'm a little biased. Currently I use the 2.x version, and that's the one I'd recommend as well, though either one would probably work for you. Give 'em both a try and see which you might prefer.

Where are the encrypted keys kept? On my local machine where I can backup them up onto my media or are they kept on a remote server?
Edit: My bad, I noticed it does create a file on my machine so that answers my question.

I've been using it for years. It's one of my vital tools. I don't know how I'd keep track of all my accounts and passwords without it.

I use version 1.23. Maybe I should update but so far I have no reason to as it just works.

Just checked. I'm using version 2.18. I tried using it on my Mac, but it was crap with Mono, so I just stuck to using it in my Parallels Windows 7 install. While I was using it with Windows, it was nice being able to open the URL's quickly and have credentials typed automatically. I doubt that work work with my Mac from Parallels though.

Is it meant to automatically populate user name and password fields on forms for you? Reason I ask, is that I created a test entry and linked it to the CP sign on screen but I couldn't see anything that would paste the details in for me. Also, I thought I could do it by copy-and-pasting from the key database entry; it lets me copy-and-paste the email address I entered but, quite rightly, it doesn't let me copy-and-paste the password.
In short, I'm trying to work out how to "use" it. I only downloaded it a few minutes ago. I'll slog away at it but I'll appreciate anyone who can give me a quick how-to answer.
Edit: I noticed I can open the URL and there are two options to select the user name and password. I can paste those in to the sign-on form which works. If that's how it's meant to be used then that's fine. I'd still like to know if there's a sort of automatic way like a one-click-does-everything?
