So we have some software that is written by another company.
 
A new screen on the web app has a time field that can be filled in by the user.
 
This field is validated to ensure it contains up to 5 numbers or punctuation characters.
 
For example 945.2, 27:4, 12/75, and so on.
 
This data is then exported as entered.
 
This is causing us one or two problems at times when trying to put this data into another system.
 
They say that putting in validation for an actual time is a change request and needs paying for.
 
I say it is piss poor coding that a high school student should be embarrassed to do and they should fix this bug free of charge or stop pretending to be a software company.
 
What say you?
