Mmmm, he might have the idea but look at the circuit no flywheel diode on the coil to catch the back emf (why the circuit exploded I suppose... the FETs might have internal diodes but never trust 'em). The idea is sound but be VERY careful of the power supply. How that guy has not lost a couple of fingers is beyond me, mind you the uni-brow was scary

He definitely wasn't an engineer I was giving him credit for comedic value.

It is a little known fact that the desire for bacon is based upon a genetic liking for the tast of human flesh.
I am assured by several lady friends that Man flesh tastes like bacon, anyway.
A little salty, apparently.
Maybe I need to stop those smuggling trips to Tesco

So Dave is going to give everyone in the UK the chance to say if they want to be in or out of Europe (will the Scots have left the UK by then?).
The problem I have with referenda, is that like radio phone ins, the vast majority of those who take part are clueless idiots totally incapable of seeing any bigger or long term perspective.
I don't want people like me contributing to major decisions for the country and its future. I'm an ill-informed moron.
I don't want MPs making those decisions either. They're well-informed morons.
I want them to ask people who are well-informed and not morons, and then do what they say is best for the long term future of the country.
Leave me out of it, I make stupid decisions, and I'm damn sight smarter than most people I know.

The correct request would've been to educate the masses.

..and who is going to be the judge of that?

Giving people information they can't cope with or process properly is worse than giving them no information.

Education is more than giving information. Most importantly, it implies that one learns to evaluate the information given. Or to quote George Carlin; "kids should be taught to question everything[^]".
