Welcome to the Lounge

For lazing about and discussing anything in a software developer's life that takes your fancy.
The Lounge is rated PG. If you're about to post something you wouldn't want your kid sister to read then don't post it. No flame wars, no abusive conduct and please don't post ads.

Technical discussions are welcome, but if you need specific help please use the programming forums.

They continually ignore what I have to say, yet I persist in calling them out on their utter hypocrisy.

They delight in the 'accessibility' of their products, yet they continue to design developer applications whose UI can only be used by 20-somethings with perfect vision.

You folks have already heard me rant about the gray-on-grey UI for Expression Blend.

Current case in point: the search box on the MSDN site now uses a gray background, with a slightly darker gray foreground color for the search text. I can barely read the f***ing thing.

What the f*** is wrong with black text on a white box? Who gives a rat's ass if it's pretty? I'm a programmer, trying to search a site for answers to technical questions.
Software Zen: delete this;
