What kind of project many of us would be doing? Is it about building a broken nation?

I'm not making a division here, but you do not know what kind of life people live in 3rd world countries. I'm not ashamed to say this. We ARE a 3rd world country because of the corrupt system. And this is an attempt to empower the people to reach up to the Govt and raise question. You think this is a personal project? Man you gotta support it, come to India once and you'll understand what I mean.

This is what I was saying about people might complain about political/activisim posts. You might feel like this, but I'm prepared to guess a goodly proportion of people here don't give a fig about corruption in India. This might seem harsh but it is the way it is. Oh and I do know what life is like in a third-world country.

The site you linked had "snake oil" written all over it. It looked like someone's attempt to increase their importance by forming garnering a following by basically trying to lobby politicians. Lets take the "Why Should you vote for this Project section"

The idea aims to increase civic engagement by creating an online platform to allow people to take positive action and engage with local authorities on civic issues which are often ignored due to a lack of accountability.

So what about the majority who don't have the Internet? Are they not allowed a voice?

True Republic will validate complaints and work with local agencies to provide services such as status tracking, project follow-up, and community engagement.

So now, True Republic will filter complaints to those only deemed worthy by True Republic: Dangerous at the least, and longer than just contacting the concerned official.

Someone wrote:
This idea will allow citizens to engage with their local authorities in a productive and transparent manner, with expert support and advice from the True Republic team.

No it won't: it add another layer of indirection which is not going to improve transparency. Worse it acts as a buffer and filter between you and your democratically elected officials.

Seriously, if this were to become widespread it would create a powerful, unelected intermediary between officialdom and the common folk sheltering each from eachother.
