Voyager falls off Heliocliff[^]
If this is the case then that is an amazing thing.
A 1970's probe using 1960's technology and launched with 1950's rocketry has left the back yard and is now taking a record of our species to the rest of the galaxy.
Makes you proud doesn't it!
I followed the Voyager program from launch, each encounter being an amazing experience with so much stuff to learn.
If one piece of space exploration has earned the number one spot then it has to be Voyager.
Considering powered flight only came about in 1904, we have come a long way baby!
In just under 110 years we have gone from no flight to interstellar. I wonder how far we will have gone in another 100 years.
This is the sort of thing that shows why science is way better than religion when it comes to EVERYTHING.
